💕 Cattleman's is #1! The chicken leg quarters cost less, and taste delicious, better. So does the ground turkey, and a huge side of pork, the butcher's will obligingly (gladly) cut up meat for customers.
At home I said to my husband, "That's incredible! That's how meat is supposed to taste (from the grocers). That's what we've been missing! Why would we ever buy meat anywhere else again? We sure appreciate Cattleman's. The other grocers, their meat costs too much, and how many times has the meat been too tough to chew and spoiled! The meat was spoiled! That's disgusting!"
Shop at Cattleman's, you won't be disappointed. It's time for a change innit?
You definitely ought to shop where quality assurance, cleanliness and customer satisfaction is maintained and important.
What is Customer Satisfaction? Customer satisfaction is a measurement that determines how well a company's products or services meet customer expectations. An important indicator of purchase intentions and customer loyalty. It helps predict business growth and revenue.
Cattleman's brilliant, humongous walk-in refrigerator keeps various types of meats well chilled, and fresh. A female worker mentioned to us when the fridge doors don't get opened often enough throughout the day it gets 🥶freezing cold in here.
Who doesn't appreciate saving money on meat? There's been a couple times when a pungent smell of bleach wafted in the air from when the butchers have thoroughly cleaned, caught us by surprise.

In the rest of the store a pleasant, enticing, scents of wood burning in a fire, or a barbecue? Delightful smell if hickory, mesquite, chicory and applewood continue to linger. The huge collection of spices in generous sized containers. Their turmeric, and granulated garlic are delicious.
They sell a delicious garlic spread, dip but then so does Trader Joe's, they sell a garlic dip sauce that costs less🤭, tastes better. It's incredibly delicious and on cooked ground turkey, chicken, pork, rice, or potatoes, or cut up...
Read moreI do not get to crow about this often, so I'm going to crow. If you are going to buy good cuts of meat at reasonable (by current market trends. Yeah, it's all pricey everywhere folks. We know) prices, you should come to Cattleman's.
Once upon a time, I used to cut meat for a living. I wasn't actually that good at it, but I remember what the old man who ran the department would get on our cases about. Cleanliness issues, how the meat was to be cut, how it was to be stored, how to present it, and how to treat the customer. It left me with an appreciation for a good butcher when I see one, where the meat is properly packaged, kept in good temperatures to ensure freshness and food safety, where proper hygiene and safety practices are firmly entrenched in the staff and what good quality cuts are supposed to look like, how they're to be trimmed and presented. There are several grocers in the area that I will buy dry goods from, pick up my share of produce, but that you could not convince me to walk near their butcher if you paid me.
Cattleman's is the exception. I'd grown accustomed to just being disappointed and insisting on finding a boutique butcher up the road in the polish markets. This meat department surprised me. There was significant variety. Prices were reasonable to the current market. The walk in refrigerated unit helped make sure the meat was kept at proper temperatures. Everything was clean. The butchers were going through all of the steps in safety and could be seen doing so in the back rooms. I didn't write a review the first time I went by. Why? Because that could have been a good day, and I'm a cynic. I've since been back to this Cattleman's several times, before the crisis, during the crisis, in the tail end of the crisis, and I've yet to see a 'bad day' on the list of times I've been to this meat department.
If you are looking for a top of the line butcher in a standard grocery store, this is where you should look in warren and center line. I buy my other produce at different locations because I prefer the selection, but this meat department...
Read moreThe location is convenient. Unfortunately, the prices are ridiculously high and the employees are incredibly rude. I can only remember one cashier ever being remotely friendly in the past few years. The rest of them scowl, talk at a barely audible level, won't look you in the eye, and will even snap at customers. The staff at the bakery/deli counter don't keep track of which customer is next to be helped. The store has no numbering system in place to help maintain a line. The staff have no problem letting other customers cut the line. About two weeks ago, all I wanted was to buy a couple of French macarons from the bakery case. They were meant to be a gift for my daughter. I waited almost 40 minutes and had three separate parties cut in front of me. They all came to the counter after I did, but got helped before me. All of them were buying large amounts of meat, taking up a long time. The staff never even acknowledged me until I finally lost my patience. It took a whole minute to gather the four macarons! I waited about 40 minutes for something that took a minute to be done. After that, I decided that was my last time shopping at Cattleman's for the foreseeable future. I understand that some of the clientele at the Center Line store are truly insufferable at times, but that doesn't give staff the right to be nasty to everyone. When I hand a cashier exact change and tell her the amount I'm handing her, there is absolutely NO need for the cashier to snap at me with, "I know!" I thought I was being helpful, as I have a collective decade of cashier work under my belt. If I was annoying the cashier that much, she could've just said nothing instead of behaving like a sullen teenager. The store is a literal two-minute walk from my front door. Unfortunately, it's not worth paying quadruple the prices I pay at Meijer and being treated like garbage by some of the rudest staff I have ever encountered. If I want to be ignored or treated like dirt, I can...
