I'm not even sure where to start -- Poor layout -Skate rental line shoots outside because it's directly in front of the main doors, not very smart. Could the food line be any further from the skating rink - Poor design also, line intersects with the skate rental line, total disaster. What's the most popular thing at a skating rink, hot chocolate. Management, get those poor girls a hot chocolate machine, they are making them by hand one at a time and it takes forever -- Let talk about the ice rink - It's very nice. They need responsible people patrolling the ice and keeping the little kids safe from the older kids that skate like idiots. The so called workers are just goofing off and it's a free for all on the ice. Skate Aids, what a great idea, too bad you rent one for an hour and none are available, yet another thing that needs over site -- Lockers still not ready, shoes everywhere, no where to sit - kids sitting on the floor to change there shoes and put skates on. My daughter had her finger stepped on (with a skate blade) while changing to her shoes because she had no where to sit - There are so many obvious things wrong at this place, i can't believe the city doesn't have someone competent running this...
Read moreBulldog Park is well, a mixed bag. For seniors ( I'm not quite a senior but many of my friends are) it's not as luxurious as promised. There's really nothing special for them. A few groups play cards but the plastic folding chairs aren't very comfortable. Many older people require arms on chairs to lift themselves up. Also, padded seats would have been a better choice. ( faux leather for cleanliness) Many participants bring cushions to sit on. The look itself is rather sterile inside. Every wall is gray and black with small amount of red.. My son thought it was a hospital outlet. ( It doesn't help that Fransican is plastered in large signage on the facade. ) It has an arena outside for farmers market which turns into an ice skating rink. The water splash pads for kids is one of the best activities Bulldog park has. Bulldog park is slightly skewed towards sports which is something Crown Point already offers in massive quantities. More effort towards events/rooms/comfortable zones with the goal of mixing generations needs to...
Read moreI would give it zero if I could!!! They just let several small children stand on the wall sad instead of giving them one of 15 "skate aids" that were available. Forty minutes!!! All because that rude woman couldn't find the wristband things. Obviously, lied and said that they were all rented! She just couldn't find them. Ten seconds after not having any she had handfuls!! Too bad we just turned in our skates!!! Why rent them anyway? Who needs one for an hour? Nobody skates for an hour. There are plenty of them and everybody can take turns if they're running out. We were there a total of an hour and a half and our boys couldn't even go around the rink once. Even though, there were plenty of them skate aids to go around!! It was just mean!! A giant waste of an afternoon!! Skate aids should be FREE!! Ugh!!! I Wish that I could...
