I was really excited to try this place. It's close to home and the atmosphere was so cute. I love boba tea and get them all the time from a variety of places, so I know what I get into when I order them. I ordered a boba here and it was absolutely disgusting. I am not even kidding when I tell you I took one sip and had to throw it away. It tasted like water with a hint of dirt and the "tapioca" that the barista insisted was "just like your normal tapioca pearls" was a disgusting jelly texture that I couldn't stand. It reminded me more of conjac jelly, which I unfortunately do not like. I'm really disappointed because I was hoping to like this place. I will try them again someday for their regular coffee/drinks, but I do not recommend the boba.
Edit: I didn't order the crystal boba, I know that one was listed on the menu but it was below the regular tapioca option. The barista told me when asked that the boba I requested was the standard tapioca boba, not crystal. Wasn't a case of ordering something wrong here. The barista may have messed up, as when I asked him about a lot of stuff on the menu he frequently said "I...
Read moreI love this cafe and I've been going since 2015. I've moved since then, but I've come back a few times. Everyone has always been super kind and friendly. And I love how its always nice and quiet compared to other certain coffee shops in the square. The iced drinks are great and the espresso is tasty. My only complaint is with the coffee. I love that you guys have a good selection of single origin and blended coffees, and that its made to order, but its a bit inconsistent. Sometimes the coffee is amazing but sometimes it just tastes watery. I believe this has to do with how you guys don't boil the water in the pouring kettle. I know it would take a bit longer but if you guys could get an electric kettle I think the quality would improve loads. I hope that didn't sound too critical. This is still one of my favorite cafes, and I will always come back whenever...
Read moreIt was great! The Barista I had did have friends in there and was talking to them but she made sure my friends and I got our drinks. We didn't really know how cafes and coffee houses worked and she explained a lot of things and made sure she made our drinks right. I got a green tea bubble tea with the tapioca pearls and it was delicious! The first taste was the best, but drink it fast because there's so much ice, the water overpowers the tea flavor. Overall it was a very cool place with the furniture and the Pink Piano 💖💖. 4 stars! But after our visit there were drunk men from the tiki bar harassing and chasing us so if you aren't very tuff I advise you to not stay until...
