We drove 8 hours for the Dillinger Slept Here event and it was amazing. The jail is beautiful as is the whole downtown section! So much history. Only issue we had was during the tour. Our tour guide was awesome. However we had so many people that not everyone got to see everything and not everyone heard the tour guide so we all missed important information. She kept talking when everyone wasn't together. And the ticket showed 2 hours for the prison tour but we were done in an hour. So I feel like she could have gone a little slower and waited for everyone to catch up! The presentation in the courthouse was also fun but may need a better PA system bc a lot of us couldn't hear the guest speakers and that was a bummer. We hope you do another event like this one bc we will...

The volunteers are very friendly and welcoming and have lots of stories to share! The jail part is very original and the tour guides are able to describe how everything worked when the jail was in use. I almost convinced myself to have my 21st birthday party here as I'm very fond of Dillinger. Maybe when I get married I'll rent it as...

It’s an interesting place to visit (see the jail cell where John Dillinger stayed and escaped from using a fake gun). The folks managing the place are super...
