This was my 3rd time visiting. Those visits only consisted of ordering coffee. This was my first time dining in. We were asked to have a seat and someone would come to take our order. We sat down, and a waitress came shortly after to take our order. We asked for a little bit more time to decide. The waitress never came back. She kept walking passed us attending to other guests, but did not look our way. Finally, I called to her twice, second time being a bit louder so she can hear, but she ignored me. At that point, my husband decided to just go up to the register and place our order. It took almost half an hour to receive our food. We finally received our food after having to ask the waitress how much longer it would be. The entire time we sat there no one came to wait on us. Waitress kept passing by to attend other guests but we were clearly being ignored. My husband once again, had to go up to the register to order a muffin and pay the bill. I will mention that when I asked if they could lower the air cuz it was literally hitting us, she did take the time to lower it. This is why I gave 2 starts instead of 1. Although the place looked very warm, and inviting, I felt very uncomfortable. I'm pretty sure I won't...
Read moreI worked there in my early 20’s — terrible experience. Unfortunatly there was discrimination based on my race. I had been yelled at by the owner for a mistake on her management my first week. It truly could have been a case for the court, alrhough due to my age I hadnt know better. I was treated poorly taken for granted many times and was put against my team at the end of my employment — I recieved a wonderful offer from a new job and instead of congradulations and celebration I was revoced from my employee of the week/month & my fellow crew members were told I was fired. How unfortunate this was & how poorly this establishment has been run — fyi the owner is very close to the food inspector, there are many things left under indistry standard especially in its kitchen. I suggest you are careful if you order food, have food allergens, etc. there close connectin with family in the business means there is a lot that is not accounted for (ie: i worked with her nephew and he did not wash dishes with soap! I shared with management and nothing changed) again, it is a poorly ran cafe with great employees who unfortantly are underage and do not know better...
Read moreThis was my first visit here but my daughter, who was with me, visits here often. I had The Goat Latte but without the Latte so I basically had light roasted coffee w/ vanilla, hazelnut & cinnamon (which was incredibly well balanced & very flavorful) & ate a blueberry bagel w/ plain cream cheese which was good but nothing to write home about. The ambiance is very cozy w/ soft minimal lighting, interesting artwork, couches, & tables. You feel as if you have walked into someone's living room, very welcoming & cozy albeit just slightly cramped w/ floor space which actually contributes to the coziness. It is slightly more expensive than I expected as 2 coffees & 2 bagels came to around $13-14 w/ tax but I never mind paying extra for quality & comfort, especially for local small businesses. The server & cashier were very friendly & hospitable. The cashier was very, very accommodating as I didn't necessarily want a Latte but more of a flavored light roasted coffee, which is exactly what I got. I would highly recommend this place for a 2-4 people "meet for coffee" place. I plan on a return visit to try another menu item & a different non-Latte flavored...
