I must say this is the first time I have ever wrote a review on a hair salon. I have been in to see Nikki twice and liked her work. My next upcoming appt was a week away when I got a text stating my appt was being canceled because she forgot about a cousins wedding. Next text was a haa haaa I booked a whole days worth of appt. Although I do realize mistakes happen not once in any of the three first text that she sent me did it ever say can I reschedule you. I ended up texting her back after a hour went by asking if I could reschedule which I got no response. After hours went by I reached out again asking if I had done something fearing she was upset I asked her to reschedule or if she wanted me to find someone else and finally got some rude and abrupt text back. Nikki states i was making assumptions and was not comfortable with rescheduling me at that point. And told me I should go ahead and find someone else to do my hair. Moral of this was all this could've been avoided if in the first three text she had sent cancelling my appt if she had explained that she was driving her RV and asked if she could reschedule me when she had her appt book in front of her instead of making me ask for another appointment and making me feel as if I did something. As a professional hairdresser you can't send text like that and leave people hanging for hours and expecting them to be ok with that! Never in my life have I experienced such unfairness with my appt being cancelled then being treated pretty rude via text! Why not have a receptionist call me to reschedule my appt? That would've been a lot more professional. I also contacted the shop and was told the owner was off but would contact me within a few hours which never happened. Other than the horrible experience with Nikki not wanting to reschedule my appt it seems like a nice shop and atmosphere! Everyone was very friendly but just very...
Read moreI really hate leaving negative reviews, especially when the people are so very nice! However, I feel like I need to put my experience out there. I went for a haircut a few months ago, and requested that my (very very long, very thick) hair be kept as long as possible, except that I wanted to branch out and get some face framing pieces/slight layering. I also requested that my fringe (across the forehead bangs) frame my face nicely and explained that I'd had to grow it out for a while as the last person who cut it essentially took her scissors and cut a chunk straight across. The cut seemed to go ok, though my stylist mentioned she may have cut "too much" at one point but I couldn't see what she was talking about, so I didn't worry too much. Once I got home, I put my hair up and a massive chunk fell down. This chunk was at the front of my head, where the framing/layering was supposed to have been, and was literally just a chunk of hair that ended just below my chin. I was mortified! I called the salon the next day and was fit in to fix it. Unfortunately "fixing it" seems to have meant cutting an almost identical chunk out of the other side. -_- I also realized after the cut that my bangs now took up half of my head, so they were HUGE and chunky and a lot of my hair was just. gone. It's going to take me a long long time to regrow all of it out and I am really disappointed, especially since this place was so highly recommended. Again, I hate leaving negative reviews, but I have been forced to pin my hair up every single day because of those horrible chunks. It honestly looks like I asked for a jellyfish cut and chickened out after the first cut. I absolutely hate my hair right now and there is no way to fix it until it grows out again. :( On a good note all of the people were absolutely lovely and kind and I'm sorry that I won't...
Read moreI normally do not leave reviews even after having a negative experience, but I felt I should share given the way the salon went above and beyond as to fixing their mistake! I scheduled an appt for a 1st time perm here at this salon after reading many positive reviews. I made sure to explain many times this was my first perm and my hair is thin, etc. The individual seemed very nice and well versed in perms. However, after the appointment, as soon as I left, I noticed immediately some hair was missing in the front and felt like a man's beard. (See first picture) I was mortified because I went for a perm to have curly hair for a quick styling as a mama of twins and then left with feeling even less confident. The very next day I went back and spoke with Lauren & Lisa. This next part is why I am leaving a 5 star review! She explained my hair was over processed and severe brakeage had occurred. They both showed immense compassion for me given this situation! They both went ABOVE and beyond to make this right for me the best they could. Not only did they get me in to restyle my hair and condition it, (see pic 2 & 3) but Lisa also gave me my money back. Oh no, she didn't stop there! She then sent me home with free top of the line products to care for my hair while it heals. So, I left all of this to say THANK YOU! Lisa and Lauren have shown me that there is still amazing customer service out there, during a time where most places do not give refunds for their mistakes and have zero care for the customer, this establishment does care! We all make mistakes and can learn from them. What is important is what you do AFTER the mistake was made. Lisa & Lauren, did all they could to make it right and I will ABSOUELY be taking my entire family to this salon from...
