Charleston, South Carolina — Attraction in Charleston

This is a great city to take a walking tour of. We spent about 3 hours walking from Market street all the way down to the battery and back, at least 2 or more miles total, and there are so many beautiful houses to see and old churches. Dress comfortably and maybe carry a water depending on how far you think you will walk from where you parked. Public parking is relatively easy to find. Market street itself can be busy as it is the touristy area, especially if a cruise ship is in port at the time. Lots of little places to eat and neat little shops. The historic area is beautiful and worth the visit. King Street is full of rude people and made us want to never visit again. I'm so glad we visited the historic area, it redeemed this city for us! My advice, stay away from King Street area... Or be ready to deal with people who bump into you in the sidewalk, yell at you as you're walking and stay away from the parks at night, they are unsafe... That's the advice we got from the local bike...
