Seyahan Jewelry — Local services in Charleston

I absolutely love Seyahan! I actually haven't been able to visit the shop in Charleston in person, but I have a long history of loving their beautiful, finely-selected Turkish jewelry. I discovered Seyahan in Berlin 4 years ago and was so impressed by how delicate and intricate everything was. At the time I was a student and was also amazed at the reasonable prices for the high-quality pieces that were obviously handcrafted with so much attention to detail.

When they stopped selling their pieces at the market where I had found them in Berlin, I was heartbroken -- then on a New York trip, to my great surprise, I ran into Matthias at Chelsea Market, we reconnected and I learned they had moved to Charleston! Such a lucky coincidence, because I love their beautiful jewelry, exquisite taste, and they are really so wonderfully kind and helpful to everyone they meet as well. I'll always have a really special connection to Seyahan -- such a great combination of beautiful design, amazing quality, commitment to the craft, and such a caring relationship with their customers and the community :)...

We had the most wonderful experience at Seyahan today. Long story short, after missing our tour due a rushed morning, we were dropped off with our luggage on the curb of Broad. We were about to make a long trek to store our luggage until we could check into our Airbnb when Matthias suddenly appeared from his shop. He said he’d noticed us with our luggage and kindly offered to let us store it in the back of his shop while we wandered around downtown Charleston. Not only that, but he also offered to make us a Turkish coffee, and allow us to rest after an incredibly hectic morning. We were absolutely blown away by his hospitality, and as we entered his store we couldn’t help but feel taken with the beautiful jewelry. My partner and I both bought several pieces, for ourselves and as gifts, and spent some time getting to know Matthias and two other guests over coffee. I've walked by the storefront so many times and admired the pieces in their window. A friend recently shared the Charleston Love Bracelet on instagram and I ordered two (one for my mom and one for myself). The bracelets were delivered by mail quickly and we love them. I especially appreciate the sizing options (we both have small wrists) and they fit perfectly. I haven't taken mine off since receiving it. I recently placed another order for a necklace and picked it up today. It is exactly the everyday piece I needed and the perfect length. The customer service is impeccable. Matthias, one of the owners is very prompt in responding to emails. I have to give a special shout-out to Emily who coordinated an in-store pick up with me during COVID-19. I cannot wait to visit the shop again and purchase...
