An Unforgettable Dining Experience at Brasserie La Banque! From the moment I walked into Brasserie La Banque, I knew I was in for something special. The setting—a beautifully restored 18th-century building—set the stage for a French culinary experience that was both elegant and inviting. I had the pleasure of sitting at the Chef's Counter, which not only gave me a front-row view of the kitchen in action but also added a touch of excitement to the evening as I watched each dish come to life.
I began with a French Martini, a perfectly balanced mix of vodka, Massenez Crème de Cassis, pineapple, and lime—smooth and refreshing. For the appetizer, I chose the Cocktail de Crevettes—plump, chilled jumbo shrimp, Old Bay-poached and served with house cocktail sauce, lemon, and a hint of espelette. I paired it with a glass of Moët Brut Imperial that elevated the flavors beautifully.
I couldn’t resist sampling the Frenched Oysters, delicately dressed with crème fraîche, cucumber, champagne mignonette, espelette, and caviar. The flavors were bright and luxurious, each bite more indulgent than the last.
Fresh, warm brioche bread arrived at the table—flaky and buttery perfection. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, the main course arrived: Coquille (scallops). Perfectly prepared with lobster, asparagus, leeks, corn, and green garlic butter—every element was cooked to perfection, harmonizing beautifully.
For dessert, I finished with the Cherry Thyme Crepe Cake—layers of honey crepe, white chocolate mascarpone, cherry jam, and brown butter thyme crumble. Paired with a glass of Fonseca 10 Year Tawny Port, it was the ideal ending to an exquisite meal.
The service was impeccable (thank you Lara!) —attentive without being intrusive, and the staff's knowledge of the menu and wine pairings was impressive. Watching the chefs work their magic from the Chef's Counter was the perfect touch to an already memorable evening.

Read moreThe slowest service ever. Our server Nick D. greeted us on time and we placed our drink order shortly. Waited 15 mins and he came back asking what we would like to drink and recognized that we have ordered already, he said he is going to check on the drinks ( he never placed on system. )So that take another 7-8 mins to make and luckily this time it was on radar to be delivered to table on time. He apologized. We both work at hospitality sector and we understand that sometimes little mistakes happen. However it wasn’t the only one that happened.. I asked him if they are still serving brioche bread which is on online menu he said yes I don’t know why it’s not on printed menu thank you for the heads up I will address this. I ordered one when he said it’s available. That order never showed up he never mentioned that they are out We have never received or never informed that is not going to be served. I think he expected us to forget about it.. this is not the service that you expect from this kind of establishment.. We were at the chefs table and our dishes served by chef on the line which was super fast and he kept checking on us. Our drinks were empty but Nick never showed up to ask if we would like another round.. after main course he appeared and we told him our drink orders, and informed him that we would like to get our desserts. 30 min wait for the desserts (pre-made!). He came and said it will be right up shortly because probably same thing happened and he forgot to fire third course or not have time to get our plates from cold kitchen and just remembered when he came check on us… We love the food and the kitchen service for food and checking on us but service from server was really bad. Maybe it’s because we were at the corner of the chef table idk.
Would I recommend this place to my friends and family yes for the food and drinks,(French 75 was amazing ) but for me. I would prefer the service just as good as the quality of the food. Wish I could have tipped the kitchen...

A little backstory: My husband and I were celebrating our first anniversary and wanted to have a slice of millefeuille, which is the type of cake that we enjoyed at our wedding in Italy last summer.
Upon arriving and letting our server Ashley know it was our anniversary, she promptly treated us to two glasses of champagne on the house. Unfortunately, they had sold out of millefeuille that evening, but it was okay. We ordered something else and enjoyed our evening.
When the check arrived, she also included a signed Happy Anniversary card from the rest of the staff. So incredibly thoughtful!
Fast forward to a day or two later, my husband gets a text from the GM Tanya asking if we'd like to come back and enjoy some millefeuille on the house since it was sold out last time we went in. We were floored how thoughtful that was!
We agreed, and went back that following weekend.
When we arrived, we were surprised to see that they had decorated our table with a framed photo of Florence, Italy, personal "Reserved For" signs, a wax candle/sculpture of The David, a bottle of their house-made citruscello as a gift, as well as a SECOND happy anniversary card, this time personalized with some details about us and our wedding.. Honestly, still blown away as I write this a few days later!
That evening, they treated us so incredibly well and even included another glass of champagne on the house as well as the (INSANELY DELICIOUS!) peach melba millefeuille - made with local peaches!
Service of this level is completely unheard of, and we're so grateful to Brasserie La Banque for making our first anniversary so lovely and memorable. We're loyal customers and will be back soon! Thank you for everything.
Special shout out to our server Ashley and the GM Tanya - you...
