AR Workshop Charlotte — Attraction in Charlotte

My family and I attended a Wine Workshop at AR Workshop Charlotte in early August to celebrate our mother’s birthday. While we enjoyed spending time together, the workshop experience itself was very disappointing and fell far short of expectations.

We received minimal guidance from the instructor, and the quality of our final projects reflected that. When we removed the stencils, large portions of the paint peeled off, leaving the pieces looking unfinished and unprofessional. We voiced our concerns and asked for help, but the instructor offered little response. It also seemed like an important step may have been skipped, as sandpaper was placed on the tables but never used. Given the cost, we expected to create something we’d be proud to display in our homes. Unfortunately, the final results looked more like failed craft projects than keepsakes.

What made the experience even more frustrating was the lack of follow-up. My sister and I have both reached out to AR Workshop since the event with no reply. Ironically, when I first inquired about booking the workshop, they responded right away.

We are sharing this review in the hope that others will not have the same disappointing experience. It’s unfortunate, because we genuinely wanted to love this workshop and hoped it would be a tradition we would continue doing...

The DIY portion of stamping jewelry for the necklace was cool. I was looking for a more interactive experience which I didn’t receive. I do feel like the owner could have been more welcoming. She was not mean, the energy just was not there. There was not enough tools for my date and I to start working on our necklaces so we had to wait for the first group to finish. All in all the experience was cool but my suggestion would be to have an instructor do a tutorial first, be more interactive and have enough tools for the class coming in. Thank you...

We just did a candle making actually 2 candles on Thursday 8/28/25. Could not tell you the name of our instructor as she didn’t tell us. She pretty much acted like she did not want to be there. She was extremely brief in the instructions. Two of our thermometers did not work and she barely acknowledged that. Candle making took less than 30 minutes, yet you are booked for 2 hours to make it look like it’s a 2 hour event. You are just waiting for candles to harden. Hardly worth the $59 we paid each. Do...
