I worked with a substitute trainer recently as the trainer I've been working with for ~10 years was out sick, and wanted to put in a good word for him, and wanted to say that this is exactly the kind of thing I've come to expect over the years from everyone at reBalance.
Jake was very precise in his explanations and/or demonstrations of each exercise he had me perform. There were several that were new to me and I found them enjoyable. Additionally, he paid very close attention while I was doing the assigned workout, and was quick to help me modify my stance/pose while performing an exercise. His language was precise and easy to understand, and he didn’t hesitate to explain the purpose of the exact posture and the particular muscles or muscle group meant to be worked. He would firmly but gently give me a slight push to the shoulder, hip, etc., to help me get into the correct posture.
I missed my regular trainer Susanne, but when the substitute that I've never seen in my many years at reBalance is just as good as my regular trainer, well, that just gives me tremendous confidence that I'm in the best of hands at reBalance Fitness and Nutrition.
After a year in the hospital and trying to recover from a rare Leukemia (and TONS of side effects!), I knew I needed to make a very thoughtful and careful decision on where to go to start my physical and mental recovery. I haven't regretted my decision a single time, and wholeheartedly recommend reBalance to anyone who'll listen. One thing that was, and continues to be very important to me, is that reBalance is a locally-owned fitness center and the personal attention and guidance in both fitness and nutrition is second to none. After my time at reBalance, the thought of going to a giant, corporate gym is just awful! Several of the people I workout with are doctors and nurses in town, and to me, that's a very significant indicator of the quality of the people and the facility. You can't go wrong...
Read moreArriving in Charlotte 2 years ago I didn’t know where to look or start to continue my fitness. I drove past Rebalance and decided to reach out. It’s the best decision I have ever made here in Charlotte because what I didn’t realise is this isn’t just a gym it’s a community that connects people in every journey they are on. Kim invited me in for an in depth consultation to see what my goals were and what I needed. I learnt more in that first consultation about myself and my body than I have my whole life. Truly understanding what was working and what wasn’t working. What needed to be strengthened in order to push past things that had been blocking me. From that first visit I have never looked back and feel strong and confident in what I want and need from my workouts. The whole set up is amazing and I am pushed and inspired by every single person who walks through the door. Kim is a fantastic, wonderful human and I am forever grateful that our paths crossed....

Hannah is my trainer and she is just as amazing as reBalance itself. She keeps me accountable, is creative with her workout routines, is very educated on the human body, and also knows how to push my limits without going overboard. Now, since I cannot get into the studio as much, she even writes workouts for me so that I can perform them at home. Hannah works hard and it shows!
