Went for Queens Feast. Our server, Bret, was spot on with his service. Impeccable timing and never felt rushed to finish. Great job by management to maintain the ambience. Overall, the food was excellent and very well prepared. We ordered the crab cake, fritto misto, penne seafood and tagliata steak. The crab cake was crispy but not greasy. The fritto misto, also fried, was tasty and loved the fried zucchini mixed it as well. The penne seafood was flavorful, the penne was al dente. Would definitely order any of these again. The steak was prepared properly but the entire plate was probably the less flavorful of all the items we ordered. I would not order the steak again. I'm lactose intolerant, so for my dessert, I received the fresh fruit dish which is usually my only dessert choice. Really?! I have gotten to the point I usually turn down fresh fruit. But I was served the fruit anyway and these were the best strawberries I've had in years! Not sure where these were purchased, but they were picked ripe! These were not picked green then left to ripen during transit like so much of our fruits and vegetables today. The bread and white beans served as we waited for our meal was good, however, I have a pet peeve about burned bread. And ours was on one edge. The bread was good, crusty outside, soft inside but I never understand why restaurants serve burnt bread! We ordered a bottle of wine with dinner. The wine prices are on average $40/bottle. If you bring your own bottle, corkage is $20. They were very helpful with my lactose intolerance and even made recommendations on what I could order (almost everything). NOTE: The tables on the porch were extremely close, you had to turn sideways to get to your table. No elevator so if you can't climb stairs, you can't eat here. I like the quiet background music, we were able to have a conversation but were so close to the other diners that we never had much of one. Maybe one row of tables rather than cramming two on the porch?

I went for restaurant week and got the potato leek soup, the lamb shank and the cheesecake. The leek soup had plenty of delicious crab meat in it. Otherwise I think I would've been happier w the beef carpaccio the server recommendation. The lamb shank took forever but was well worth the wait. It was bigger than a turkey leg and came on a bed of cheesy parmesan risotto. The lamb was delicious the red wine reduction was so delicious I couldn't get enough of it. The risotto was amazing! Totally hit the spot and paired perfectly w the lamb and the juices. The cheesecake wasn't over the top but definitely didn't disappoint. Everyone was very nice and the atmosphere was very cozy.

Took us in without a reservation, and sat us promptly. Didn't get to see much of the atmosphere ,as we were sat along the windows near the street view. The food is why you go! Those Parm/garlic fries are frickin'TOP NOTCH!! Hand cut, crispy outside, fluffy inside, for an Italian place, they do a Hella fry. The Veal dish was amazing. Coated fried to perfectionz Arugula salad was top notch over the top. Wife's pasta dish eas good, made a small substitute for sauce, and the chef made it seamless. Definitely a spot to go for a good Americana Italian meal.

Giving three stars because food was exceptional but service was beyond poor. We had a group of 7 that went for dinner. Half of us arrived before the others and we were greeted within a minute of sitting down and were asked if we wanted anything besides water to drink at the moment. We didn’t get a chance to look at the drink menu so we said we would like a minute to look and started with water. Our other half of the group arrived and our waitress never came back to the table. We saw her standing at the bar talking to another server to where she was seen turning around to look at our table and turned back around to the waiter where he rolled his eyes. At that point he became our waiter. This was seen by our entire table which to us shows she age profiled our group and didn’t want to take our table because she thought she would be losing money because we wouldn’t tip much. Let’s be clear here, we’re all 24-25 years of age. We all know how to tip especially if service is great. This was appalling to witness. The waiter who took our table was very rude and only checked on us twice our entire meal. We had to ask the bartender from our table if he could get us more wine. I work in the restaurant industry and service is huge to me. This restaurant needs to check with their staff or management needs to be more aware of their customers experience especially for how high class it is. I will not be returning to this restaurant because of my experience and the...

We made reservations for 4 for January 29 for Restaurant week. There was a snow issue in Charlotte and everything was closed. There was a notice in the Charlotte Observer that Restaurant week had been extended one week as the restaurants traffic was hurt due to the weather. We called and got reservations for February 5th for 4. We were not told that this restaurant made the decision not to participate in the Restaurant week extension. We only found that out when we sat down. Service was slow and food was below average. The waiter never asked if we wanted anything to drink. My wife had to ask for a glass of wine. My steak was not done properly and was very tough. I did not complain as it took a long time to get our food. They brought 2 dinners to the table and then did not bring the other 2 dinners out for 5 minutes. We were getting ready to go in the kitchen and find out what happened to them. We had to flag another waiter down to end the meal and get our checks. I would...
