I came to this salon during a quick weekend trip. The sole purpose of my trip was to get my hair done, eyebrows and hang out with friends for my birthday. However, my experience was drastically dampened due to the service I received at this salon.
First, I called a week in advance to ask if they provided service for African American hair. I was explicitly told that ALL stylists were trained to do so. Although, some stylists received more request than others. With this information I booked an appointment with confidence that my hair would be handled properly. Oh how I was mistaken.
When I arrived at the salon the staff was friendly enough. I was taken back by my stylist to put my things down and take down my bun. As I was doing this, I explained that my hair is course however it straightens well. I explained that I wanted a simple blow out with dryer and flat iron. No trickery or rocket science.
When we went to the shampoo bowl the young lady proceeded to wash my hair, but acted as if she could not touch it. She literally put shampoo on the outside of my hair. I didn’t fret too much about this because I knew my hair was clean prior to going so her lack of shampooing skills didn’t bother me too much.
Then when it was time blow my hair out she used low heat. I assumed she had her own technique and tried not to tell her how to do my hair. After all, I had already set my expectations and she is the stylist. Once she finished what she thought was drying my hair she proceeded to flat iron. Also, on the lowest setting. I asked several times to turn the heat up just a tad. She said no she didn’t want to burn me.
Needless to say my hair was a mess at the end. It was not fully dry and the roots looked as if I had been in the sauna for an hour. I find this unacceptable because I specifically asked if I could be accommodated. And to make matters worse, I called backed to provide feedback to the salon. I explained that I had to leave with my hair the way it was b/c I had another appointment and I was just that upset.
I mean I literally had to ask for a brush to brush my hair properly before leaving. The young lady who answered the phone when I called to give feedback stated that she or her boss would call me back. I never received a call. This is the poorest customer service I have received in a long time . Probably poorer than McDonald’s which is a place I do not visit because of...

When she washed my hair, I also got a scalp scrub/massage which was so nice. She was quick but attentive and my hair looked great. I will go back!!
Old 2 star Review: This review is only on the online system, I was unfortunately never able to experience their services.
I booked in August to get my hair and makeup done before my engagement photos. The online system let me book. A few days after I received a phone call saying that those times actually wouldn't work. They didn't have times that worked for me so I scheduled services somewhere else. It was enough time in advance, so it was fine.
I figured I would give them a second chance for my bridal shower! I booked a blow out a couple weeks in advance for an 8:00 AM appointment on a Saturday morning. I never received a confirmation email, but I also did not receive a confirmation the first time I booked, so I didn't see a problem. I did receive a confirmation on my screen, so I figured I was set to go. I showed up at about 7:50 for my 8:00 appointment and they did not have me on the schedule. Although no customers were there yet, I understand that they probably had appointments scheduled, so I was told them couldn't help me. I was in a panic as my shower was in just a few hours and I had dirty/crazy hair and I didn't actually have an appointment that I planned on. It just seemed very unreliable. Thank goodness for DryBar having walk in availability!
Again, this review is solely on the online system, it was frustrating getting a confirmation on the screen and planning on an appointment just to be told I could not be served. The ladies working even told me their online system isn't the best. I know it was not the salon's fault, but it was still frustrating and put...
Read moreAn extremely disappointing experience. Was trying to surprise my mom for Mother’s Day because she always asked about these places. We were the first one to check-in for 12:30 appointments at 12:15. We got there early because we wanted to sit together. We were the last one to get called back. 6 people were called back before us. By the time I got called I was told we couldn’t sit next to each other. While I didn’t specifically say we wanted to sit next to each other, I did say we were a mom and daughter (and it is Mother’s Day weekend). Instead of asking the woman who was going to sit next to me if she would be willing to change so we could sit next to each other, the front desk people said, there was nothing they could do and we could leave or go with our app assigned stylus. I was trying to support a local business over a chain thinking I would get better service, but boy was I wrong. Even worse when they were talking about what to do they didn’t know my mother was right there, so she heard how rude and uncaring the desk staff was when they thought no one was listening. They lost two blowouts, two stylus lost tips, and left me tearing up on Mother’s Day. Luckily my mom was thankful for my effort. I understand technology makes things easier, but not when it sacrifices human experiences. Extremely disappointed for...
