Had my first intro session with Lacey and I am excited to come back for more! Everyone is so kind. The workout was challenging, but not impossible. There’s also huge discounts for memberships if you sign up after your intro session.
Editing to add: I have never felt more included in a fitness setting than I do at Club Pilates. Michelle reached out to me personally after class to check on me and give me some encouraging words. I have NEVER been to any kind of fitness program, class, etc where the instructor will reach out to you if it was a rough class. I’ve had personal trainers before that didn’t reach out. Club Pilates is definitely an investment, but the money invested is totally worth the physical and mental health it provides. The environment of the studio is super clean and inviting as well. Plus, most classes are all women, and if you’re like me, it definitely makes you feel more comfortable. I truly do not have enough words to say how much I love this studio and am glad to make it a part of my...
Read moreI’m a solid 4 stars because there are a few quirks that make this less than ideal: You can only sign up for 15 classes at a time on the app. That was not advertised when selecting membership options. An unlimited membership, is really not unlimited. If you’re a planner like myself, this can be frustrating. If you are on a waitlist, that also counts towards one of the 15. I was told when I signed up, that you can use other studios in the area. Not the case right now for plaza midwood members as they have not had their grand opening. Other members from various studios can come to Plaza Midwood, but we cannot go anywhere else. With a new studio, comes new instructors in training. There’s a wide variety of teacher capabilities due to this and a 1.5 flow can be very different when someone with 2 months versus 20 years of experience is teaching. There are not a lot of advanced classes being offered with the new studio. Since we can’t go to other studios, you are capped at either a 1 or 1.5...
Read moreThe workout is great and studio is clean. The bad thing is all of the classes have a waitlist and classes book up 2-3 weeks in advance. The girl who signed me up said that 90% of the time you get off the waitlist but I haven’t had this experience at all (since the waitlists are usually like 10 people deep) and you don’t know for sure until 2 hours before (you get charged if you get off waitlist and don’t show.) You can only book 15 classes at a time on the app and since the classes fill up so much in advance, the unlimited is really not unlimited. I don’t see the issue getting better either because the space is so small, class sizes are so small and they keep selling people memberships. A class on this Saturday has a 17 person waitlist! So while it is a great price for reformer Pilates, it is really not what I thought it would be when I signed up so cannot completely recommend it to others. Hoping others can see this to make an informed decision before signing up since it is still a...
