Qahwah House Coffee - Charlotte — Restaurant in Charlotte

I tried these guys this week & was so impressed that I’ve since ordered from them 3X’s in total, ordering multiple items each time bc it was seriously THE BEST COFFEE I have EVER HAD & I needed to know if everything else was THAT amazing! I’ll be visiting in person ASAP.

Here’s what I’ve had 🫣😆

Drinks: Pistachio Hot Latte: 3X’s - The quality doesn’t quit!! Smooth, perfectly balanced flavor. I tried another coffee house’s Pistachio Latte bc Qahwah was my first - all Pistachio Lattes are not made the same. Backyard Brew assaulted me at the first sip, (crushed pistachios throughout that created an awkward experience of feeling like you’re chewing trail mix & refuse to swallow before taking a sip of your drink 🤮).

Adeni Chai: Amazing. Everything you expect from a Chai Latte, kicked up a notch. Bonus points for being able to control sugar levels.

Strawberry Matcha: So good, so so good. High quality and perfectly earthy without being overly sweet from artificial flavors. Mine did not have the layered effect of green matcha atop bright and pink melded strawberry cream, but it was delivered & it’s hot out here so they lost zero points in my book!

Mango Refresher: Good. Comparably the quality is nice, but I could taste that it was flavored with mango syrup, reminiscent of when you order a flavored sweat tea. Maybe a teaspoon of tiny bits of mango floating on top.

Food: Pistachio Milk Cake: Flavor was everything. Think pistachio tres leche. It was SLIGHTLY too moist, even for what it is - did NOT take from the experience though.

Yemen Chocolate: Cute little gold dust on top, the price is more than fair considering it’s literally “Dubai Chocolate” - which I don’t enjoy because of the texture. The chocolate was of great quality, the pistachios were shaved into what reminds me of fried rice noodles. If you like Dubai Chocolate, you’ll enjoy. 😊

Triple Chocolate Cake: DECADENNNTT. Top tier quality! I keep referring to quality but this place exudes it - made even more surprising bc it’s a chain. ⛓️‍💥 It isn’t huge, but because of its richness, can be shared between ~2-3 of even the largest fatties! Velvety smooth, thick mousse meets perfectly balanced, light and yet dense, sponge cake - Signed, sealed, & delivered in an exquisitely, complementary dark chocolate coating.

Chocolate Cappuccino Cake: Needs work. The cake was too dense and very dry. The icing was slightly “crusty” - not enough moisture and the flavor was missing that rich espresso flavor. It could have been stale, but I think it’s more likely that the recipe is struggling to retain moisture because it’s vegan.

All in all - will be back. I don’t even like sweets, but I’m committed now & am excited to try the desserts that pay homage to the...

I ordered the ginger tea with honey but was recommended Jubani Coffee and honestly, it’s more than a drink—it’s an experience in a cup. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with just the right sweetness to make you smile. The ambiance was equally thoughtful: music, natural lighting, and little design touches that made it feel like a second home. What really sets this place apart, though, is the care. I recently started looking for places that stay open late with a warm, inviting environment and offer great food and service, and this coffee house is that and more! The customer service is very warm and friendly. The overall design and layout of the shop is spacious and absolutely beautiful. This is a great place to enjoy yourself and make great memories.

I can be a bit anxious socially, and I was initially worried when I first entered the shop due to its high volume of customers at the time. I sat at the coffee bar with a close friend, and despite our initial worries, we spent about three hours there! You can tell that this space is focused on creating and housing a genuine, authentic community of kind people.

I ordered the Jubani blend and honeycomb pastry, and they were divine! So far, those are my favorite items. Honorable mentions from others who've ordered here include the Yemeni Tea and Adeni Chai—both are delicious! I look forward to trying more of...
