I appreciate the county’s attempt to provide a dog park on this side of town, but it is pretty much like being in a parking lot. There are trees but most dogs stay in the open dirt area and therefore there’s no relief for the humans. I feel this is pretty much an afterthought location compared to others around town. I give zero stars to the owners and their dogs. This location brings out the laziest owners and worst behaved dogs. Rather than take the time to socialize them while puppies, these owners bring aggressive dogs to let loose so they don’t have to deal with them. The only two times we’ve been there, my dog was attacked. One was a 100 lb Rottweiler that attacked right when coming inside, the other a smaller, but aggressive pit bull. When I yelled at the owner, she said “he likes to be alone.” Let that sink in. She brought her dog to a dog park, but it likes to be left alone. The park is full of people like that. I don’t blame their dogs. I give one Extra star for providing the facility though. They...
Read moreGreat neighborhood dog park. Lots of parking! Nice clean dog park and recreation area. Easy place to spend and hour or more hanging with my dogs.
My dogs are 16 and 20 lbs, sometimes we can go in the larger enclosure, depending on how many larger dogs are present we have also spent time in the small dog enclosure.
My dogs prefer the larger one, but it all depends on the crowd if that is an option. The small dog enclosure is quite small in comparison to the larger enclosure and there is a gate between the to where a very tiny dog could go through the space. Be sure to check it out if that is a concern for you.
I've met lots of nice dog owners and many many super friendly dogs ( my fav part). Great place for my dog kids to...
Read moreThe dog park itself is great, half of it is shaded with trees and the other is a nice open field with plenty of room to throw. You have bags next to the entrance gate, a water spigot, benches, and several trash bins.
Only had an unusual issue with one other dog owner (he couldn't stop his 3-4 dogs from crowding mine and she got nervous, of course the owner blamed my dog) but I've never seen him after that event. You sometimes see the things that happen at every dog park though; that one person who won't pick up and dogs with incompatable behaviors.
My only real complaint is the parking. It's a gravel lot and the visitors never seem to know how to park intelligently, it usually becomes a...
