I’m always in search of independent coffee shops because I feel like the intentions are often so pure. This place is exactly that. In a deep pool Starbucks, they stand out the perfect gem ✨ a great coffee shop with incredibly tasteful decor. Bonus the coffee shop feels so comfortable that you just want to spend the day there. I spent a few hours there in an open space and then I reserved a quiet to host a virtual meeting. I love that you have the freedom to reserve the quiet spaces away from the music and noise of the coffee shop. They even have a cute preservable meeting room that has a monitor & etc. I appreciate that the Internet was very strong might be a silly thing to some, but often I find in public spaces it’s hard to host meetings without connection issues. I had a delicious iced chai with oat milk, then a glass of Prosecco. Did I mention that they have a full bar too? This is the perfect spot to host any sort of group, gatherings, or meetups and because of the style of the place also perfect to capture clips or pics for social. The staff was very pleasant and engaging as well as the other patrons. The fun thing about places that have great energy is that they typically draw other people with equally great energy making it a really cozy environment. Total Bonus-even the bathrooms are cute and clean!! Thanks for being so intentional with this coffee shop! I don’t live nearby, but I will be back...

Would not recommend for POC! I love coffee and love trying new coffee shops so it’s such a shame that I could not enjoy my experience here as the coffee actually tastes pretty good (Honey Bee Latte) and the place is super cute, to bad the employees are NOT. I tried this place today, entered in with my kids and one of the workers literally looked at me like she had never saw a black person before. Then as I stood right in front of them at the register (absolutely no one was in there except me and the workers) it took 3 to 4 minutes for them to actually address me and they still didn’t say hello they just said “in the middle of shift change” and continued to take there sweet time to count the money, you could tell they really would have rather me just leave then have to taken my order. There were 3 employees and only one actually smiled when I walked in and I guess when she realized that this was taken beyond too long she decided to go ahead and make my drink while they still prolonged with the register. The barista had literally finished making my drink and they still were sitting there fiddling with the resister giving dirty looks. I got my coffee but won’t be back hate that kind of energy and it’s just unfortunate that my kids had to go through it as well my daughter was so confused as to why no one was talking and things seemed “weird” in there. I’m really big on RASICM and...

STUNNING. Everything about Wake Coffee Co. is exactly that! The owners are truly passionate and it shows in the drinks they create all the way to the design of the bathroom (tiger wall paper? Yes, please!).

Our first time in was in the evening so we wanted to try their cocktails. Inventive and well executed we ordered the Orange Dreamsicle and the Dark and Stormy, both were refreshing and picturesque! They are very much a family-owned establishment and one of the owners made our drinks! The conversation and atmosphere will keep us going back!

The next morning we decided we needed to try their coffee to give a really in depth review. We both got the Honey Bee Latte but tried it iced and hot. Both were phenomenal! They also have boba tea on their menu which is so hard to find outside of the city! That’s up next on my list of things to try.

They have areas you can set up your laptop and work from, an area for small meetings, comfortable couches, locally sourced wood tables, and some outdoor seating as well!

TLDR; Whether you just need a good drink or somewhere to get some work done during the week - give Wake...

I’m the kind of person that researches menus before going places because I want to know that I have options that support my dietary preferences. I was so pleased to see that Wake Coffee offer Golden Milk with local honey and the option of milk alternatives. I ordered it with almond milk and it was absolutely delicious. You can taste the turmeric and cinnamon and see the sediment of the ingredients at the bottom of the cup; a sign that they use actual dried ingredients and not just flavored syrups. They also let me use my reusable cup which makes me happy. The shop was playing all the 90s/2000s throw back jams when I visited. It’s clean, comfortable and has multiple seating areas. There is outdoor seating as well. Lots of drink options that don’t involve coffee which is a plus. Service was super friendly. Parking is very accessible and easy.
