I just left my lymphatic massage with Jason. I went with my friend who has had two lymphatic massages with Raquel. She has absolutely raved about them so I decided to give it a try. We got there 15 minutes early and I filled out my paperwork. Jason called me back a couple minutes after 7 and after my friend had already gone back. When we got to the room, he told me that I marked that I was pregnant, I had no idea I did that, so I quickly clarified that I was NOT pregnant. And that was the end of that, he didn’t make it seem like I needed to correct anything. I had then told him that I had never had a lymphatic massage before. He clarified that it’s a light touch massage and that I will only be on my back for it and made sure that I was OK with that. In addition, he asked if I was okay with head and face, and I said yes because I was there for the experience and figured if my friend thought they were so great without much extra direction then I’ll just go with the flow.
Furthermore, he then left the room and I quickly undressed and got under the blankets by 7:06 PM. It took him a little bit to come back in, but I figured that was so he could ensure he wasn’t barging in but it definitely felt longer than any other time I’ve had a massage considering it’s included in your 55 minutes. When he came back in, he asked if I had any target areas, again I said I’ve never had one before, so I wasn’t really sure what I would want to target. He briefly explained anywhere that I carry fluid. I said I’m usually bloated in my stomach and that was really all I could think of at the time because again, this was sort of a last-minute try it out, didn’t know what to expect thing. We then start the massage, and it felt pretty good in a way I guess you would expect light touches to feel? lol… Like I said, I’m openly admitting that I wasn’t really sure what to expect. At 7:55 PM on the dot he said that was the end of our session, when I got up and dressed and then left, I had already finished checking out and leaving a tip before my friend even came out of her room.
Once we left, she was all excited asking how I enjoyed it and I basically told her it was okay but I wasn’t really sure why she was raving about them so much lol… So we began comparing experiences. First, she clearly was in there longer aka got the full time for her massage. In addition, she did a portion on her stomach so she had her back massaged and hot towels placed on her feet and stomach and I think her head. Raquel also explained everything to her in way more detail her first time. Jason, barely touched my face and head, which had I known, I would have asked him to do more. However, with your eyes closed, you don’t keep track of time and also if you’re blatantly asked if you’re okay with certain areas, you kind of expect them to spend more than 2 minutes on them total?? Haha. So I left feeling like there was still fluid in my ears/blocked and I asked my friend if that was normal and if she felt that way, and she said no, Raquel absolutely drained hers (lol).
Moreover, if you’re going to go, book with Raquel, or at the very least, do not book with Jason. No offense to him or anything, he was nice, but I just don’t think that was the best first experience you could have. Maybe my friend overhyped it but she seemed pretty surprised when we were comparing experiences. I understand masseuses maybe have their “specialty or technique,” but I would have assumed every massage would be pretty consistent. I would absolutely not pay $125+ tip for that experience again. I don’t think I have ever got online and written a review for somewhere before, but honestly I’m pretty disappointed that you pay so much money and have vastly different...

Read moreI recently visited Silent Moments Spa for their Total Package which included a deep tissue massage, radiant glow facial, and foot/leg therapy bar. While parts of the experience showed promise, unfortunately the overall delivery fell short — especially for the $300 price point.
To start, my massage with Jason was great once it got going, but we started significantly past my scheduled time and it felt rushed. I also had to remind him mid-service that I was booked for additional treatments, which was odd and concerning. At the end of the massage, it was unclear whether I should fully dress or wait for a robe, which when provided, was very worn and should honestly be retired.
The facial service was also delayed and the experience was disjointed, with therapists constantly leaving the room to retrieve items. It was distracting and took away from any sense of calm or professionalism you’d expect in a spa setting. The room should be prepped beforehand for a seamless, relaxing experience.
The most disappointing part was the foot and leg therapy bar. It felt completely unplanned and not worth the cost. Jason was in and out of the room with long gaps where no treatment was happening. The water used felt cold and wasn’t refreshed, and the chair was broken — I couldn’t even recline to relax. It truly diminished what little sense of luxury was left in the experience.
To top it off, the front desk experience was equally underwhelming. The staff member checking me out seemed distracted and uninterested, glued to her phone and visibly inconvenienced by having to process my payment. It gave a bad final impression.
Lastly, the refreshment options felt limited and thoughtless. Offering only champagne and chocolate doesn’t feel inclusive or mindful in today’s hospitality environment, especially when guests may not drink or prefer plant-based options.
Final Thoughts: I had high hopes for this spa and was excited for a non-chain, boutique experience while visiting from out of state. Sadly, this visit missed the mark in multiple areas. If I were local, I would try a different spa. Silent Moments has potential, but serious improvements in service consistency, preparation, attentiveness, and guest...
