To avoid the toasty weather later today (2025.06.17 TUE), ~06:40 i arrived and parked at the Sugaw Creek Park parking. Then went for my urban-walk LOOP : Sugaw Creek Park, Tom Hunter Park, N.Tryon St, and W Sugar Creek Rd. Both the Sugaw Creek and the Tom Hunter Neighborhood Park seemed well maintained and clean. The neighborhood, houses, and streets were reasonably clean.

This is a great park that has a rec center basketball goals on the outside. I would recommend who likes to stay physically fit and active. Also soccer and baseball fields. They finally putting the basketball goal back up.

Very well kept park. We enjoyed walking around with my little one for an hour. It was enough to wear her down to take a 2.5hr trip without any stops.

Sugar Creek Park is a big area where there a soccer field, tennis court, frisbee area and a golf course. Sometimes there's a trail for frisbee but other time it ends. There was a trail in the woods that could easily be taken but the trail end up degrading and you'll get lost if you don't remember the way back or wonder off the wrong path. But I got to admit I saw a crane last time when it was migrating. It was a real beauty site. I'm pretty sure it's because rarely anyone visits there that people litter there trash on ground and anywhere they can find. There are benches and bathrooms you can use sometimes locked or unlock because you have to make a reservation to be allowed to use the bathroom. The water fountains in the bathroom do work but the water take a long time to go down so. You either wait or have to flick it right away so the next person can drink without getting wet. Although the water fountain near the tennis does work. But not on winter days nov-dec. Even though there's flaws in this park it's quiet and there even a playground for the kids as well as a basketball court that I forgot to mention. Plus I'm pretty sure the natural theme of the park makes it beautiful, even though there's a bit of construction still happening...

I have visited this location a few times this year and enjoy the staff members that are very accommodating in assisting me and others. I set up in-person notary training classes where this facility is always very clean and have the space that's ideal for my notary students.

I appreciate the technology that's offered to allow me to set up my presentations the tables and chairs that are kept in great condition, along with the inviting surroundings of the well maintained landscape making this facility a good choice for families to visit that are active in sports indoors and outside. This includes individuals that may want a date space to visit to road a book, paint a canvas while being outside enjoying what the nature offers. As a professional I appreciate feeling safe because am armed security guard is always on duty.

I thank the county of Mecklenburg for allowing the multi-usage in this facility as well as others in the city of Charlotte and in...

I went here for the disc golf course. The disc golf, or as the cool kids call it, FRIZBEE GOLF, was pretty dope. I was a little bit confused about where to start, I never did find the first hole, and also I somehow skipped holes 12-16, not really sure how I did that. Overall, the course is marked super well, and the signs are helpful for finding the baskets. They had one elevated basket, it was pretty coool. I enjoyed the various holds through the forest, I thought those were the dopest ones. Additionally, I think that this is a course that would be enjoyable for both beginners and more experienced veterans of the the FRIZBEE GOLF COMMUNITY. Definitely check it out, it is pretty great....
