This place has been around for two years and nobody knows about this wonderful place ! It is a little intimidating, but one you enter in , it's amazing world inside!
To say this place is somewhat confusing and complex is an understatement : Case in point- This is there opening statement. Multiverse Kitchens is a digital food hall that's home to seven different restaurants--Fowl Mouthed Chicken, Firebox, Brookville Biscuit + Brunch, Keevil Tea Room, Smashing Salads, Long Strange Chip, and Toad in the Hole--all designed using local ingredients and recipes that are meant to travel. Order curbside pick-up or delivery from one or all of our restaurants, so that everyone in your family can get what they love. That's what we call infinite possibilities.
Lol! A tab much ! But Chéf and owner is nowhere as complicated! ! A very humble and wonderful person! Here we go!
I ordered a chicken biscuit! It was over the top! They best I have had in cville! The biscuit was a square biscuit similar to a butter swim biscuit ( look it up) but constructed a tad different! I very serious construct! The boneless skinless thigh was perfectly breaded and cooked fresh! A little bit of honey to add sweetness! This not a handwich. You much enjoy this with a knife and fork. At the end use a spoon to scoop up the goodness! I didn't think this could get any better! They had real hot tea service! Earl tea was performed perfectly! Harrison ( who is British) the chef explained that the tea was an omage to his dad that enjoyed tea time often! The place is a very family and personal ! The decor was very contemporary! It your looking for the fried chicken in cville hands down, this place is it ! Good price also! Say hello to Mary for me!

Read moreI'll start by saying that I have had some delicious cookies and chips from this store in the past. A little pricey but that's expected from a small niche store such as this. My main gripe has been recently when I have dealt with this store regarding collecting my milk share from them. The store hours are pretty scarce 11-4 doesnt give me a good window to come and grab something before or after work. I tried to collect my milk on a Saturday. The hours I was given were 9-4 and found them to be closed when I showed up at just before 3. The week following I called first to make sure of the opening times and was told they would be open 9-3.30 that day. So I made the trip into town, arrived at 2.45 to find the curtains shut and the closed sign up. Pretty disappointing. There were a couple of other cars idling outside, presumably also baffled by the early close. I understand the need for a shopkeeper to step out and do something real quick. But there were no such messages left, just "Closed" despite verbally being told their hours over the phone...
Read moreI used to frequent Gibson's daily, (the name of the business before), before the takeover of Keevil & Keevil. The shelves of the Gibson's shop were scarce compared to other small convenience stores but not useless junk. Now there's literally nothing. Although all Gibson's had to offer were a few cold deli subs and hot dogs, the selection of drinks, chips, beer, lotto, wine, etc. was by far superior. Now, the shop Keevil & Keevil, has mediocre deli food, an assortment of drinks I can count on one hand, and that's about all folks.
In my three experiences here I've gotten an $8 dollar breakfast sandwich that was so-so, a $3.50 cup of coffee that was full of coffee grounds, and once nothing at all because the selection, quite frankly, sucks.
My advice, walk half a block to Fox's Diner, pay more than half the price, get better service, better quality, and quite a bit more of a selection. You can't take something that wasn't broken, break it, then call it "fixed" and up the prices, Ke...
