Jacqueline I highly disagree with both of your posts. It sounds to me like you didn’t agree with her very fair and contracted protocol and if you read the terms and conditions of her Consignment shop you would understand the way it works... and it’s all legal! I myself worked for an attorney and thoroughly read through every single word. Nothing she does is not fair or illegal. She stands by everything she says and writes in her contract to protect herself as well as the customer. She’s not out to screw anyone. But primarily to have a successful business where her customers will continue to ship with her because they trust her product and her word. I must say Caroline is probably one of the most honest, professional, fair, trustworthy, pleasant and very accommodating business owners that I have ever worked with. She has definitely educated herself and her staff on all aspects of her business. I have worked with her for 10 plus years and I have NEVER once had any issues with her nor has anyone I’ve sent to her and that is many many many happy customers that all day the same thing I just stated.... she will never shut down but continue to grow because of the honest respected business woman she has worked very hard to earn herself. I went into Caroline’s in Haddonfield to get my wife a Valentine’s Day gift. I found a red LV bag that I thought she may like but was questionable. The sales person in the store was very nice and said they don’t do refunds but they will exchange it and give me store credit. Not to mention I paid full price for the bag and didn’t even try to negotiate. I figured I could find something worst case scenario if my wife doesn’t like it. Well, she didn’t like it so I came back 2 days later to exchange it for something for myself. I find a LV duffle bag that had a missing strap and Removable leather ID holder. I really didn’t need it but I had to get something.. I asked the sales person what’s the best they can do on the bag. She called Caroline and she said $1850 from $2100. I said ok let’s do it. She then says on the phone “wait, he’s exchanging another bag? I can’t give him that good of a deal then”. I said we just made a deal and now you want to go back on it? I being frustrated just took the offer for $1,950 as I wanted to just get out of there. I look it up online the replacement strap is $500 used and the bag from LV brand new is $2620. So i essentially paid full price for a used bag since I was handcuffed with their policy and she was unwilling to negotiate since I was exchanging.
