I've lived in the neighborhood long enough to remember seeing the sculptor place these Cor-ten steel beauties. They are a wonderful public art addition to downtown Chicago. Comedian Robin Williams was instrumental in bringing this art to Chicago. Great photo opp. And yes, there are lots of dogs who live in this neighborhood and roam this part of the park. The South Loop is home to the highest dog census in the city... The dumb sign about curbing your dog is due to the fact that park goers apparently thought dog urine caused rust on the sculpture. Read moreThis place is horrible. They have stair wells that you are not allowed to use but are not marked so just locked. When I went into one I quickly left because I could tell it was not for use. The lock was broken. I was promptly questioned by security and accused of smoking. There is no outdoor patio. Anyone who had a lighter had dispose of it upon entry.
