I came here to see the place where the Battle For Michigan Ave took place. For the uninitiated: in 1968, Abbie Hoffman and several other hippies planned several days of protests because the Democratic National Convention was in town and the Yippies were protesting the Democratic partys stance on the Vietnam War. The statue was the epicenter of the demonstrations and subsequent police riot.

Other than that, the park was really nice, and you can tell most of the architecture was from the 30's. The bridges and other statues were really neat. It seemed safe and the views were nice. Still don't know who Logan was....

Stopped to see General Logan's Statue and tomb. Pssst, he isn't there as the wife insisted he be buried at Arlington National Cemetery. This tomb has sat empty for always. Nice spot on a hill to look over...
