I try to visit navy pier at least once every time I come to Chicago. It’s a bit touristy but I honestly think that’s part of the charm. There’s plenty of shops and restaurants for you to enjoy, a bunch of rides and attractions and some truly spectacular views of the lake. Last time I went there was even a Temporary Pixar Minigolf that is sadly nolonger there. Cons: Everything is so expensive. Parking was crazy expensive. The food we had for lunch was not good. It tasted old and awful. The chicken was incredibly...

I visited Navy Pier today between 1pm-3pm. I covered the distance from Trump tower to the pier on foot and it took me 35mins. to reach there. It is free and open outdoor area with numerous seating options, food trucks and breath taking views of the Lake Michigan! Highly recommended. Waiting to visit this place on St. Patrick's Day or during late evening. Family place includes lots of walking. Can take your dogs...
