Waitress was super nice but super slow and they were not very busy and seemed adequately staffed.
When she finally came to the table to take our orders after we looked at the menu for a painfully long time, only then did she tell us that they are out of ribs, shrimp, and fish. I had to quickly choose something else so I chose the club sandwich. It was huge so I took half of it home. When I went to eat that half later I saw that the bread was completely burned! Fries were good. Key lime pie saved the day. It’s out of this world. Everyone else at the table seemed to like their food. Someone ordered the steak and it looked delicious. I wish I would have ordered that but it was $27. I paid $53 for a burnt club sandwich and fries, a side of mac and cheese, 2 pieces of pie, and a water. Gratuity is already included in the bill which could explain why there was no urgency on her part. 2 people at our table ordered cake but she only brought one claiming she didn’t hear that they each wanted a piece (which she probably didn’t because it was super loud) and by the time she brought the other piece everyone else at the table was done eating. I didn’t order a drink but 2 people at the table did and said they were good and strong.
We had a party of 9 but 6 of us showed up quite a while after the other 3 were seated. It took the waitress forever to bring the bill and then she brought it out as one bill. When we asked her to split it up she said ok and started to walk away. We had to stop her so we could tell her how we wanted it split up.
There are SO many options in Chicago I was just expecting a little better. We traveled over 3 hours and thought this would be a fun place. Also it’s located right next to the parking garage which was great but they keep their door open so it was freezing so dress...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I definitely would. Where to start. The 2 female hostesses on the pier entrance didn't seem to want to be bothered at all. The young man who took our names down was very helpful. After he took our names down, to be seated, mind you there were plenty of open tables on the patio, it took a total of 20 minutes for the female hostesses to get off their phones and put a few tables together, and move some chairs around. Both looked to be appalled that they had to do this! So after being seated, it took 20 minutes for a server to come by. Our server Will (who did his best) came and took our drink orders. Long story short we waited over an hour and a half to get our food after we ordered. The kitchen not only dragged to get our food out, but my shrimp scampi linguine came out with no sauce on it, cold noodles at that, my sister in laws chicken was raw, the nachos we had were mostly nachos with a few chips covered with cheese. My sisters crab cakes were burnt. All in all, it was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Considering where this establishment is located, and the prices they have the nerve to charge, I would expect a superb dining experience. Considering all this, we spoke to the manager, and offered to pay for our drinks (which also took forever to get) and she only took off $25 for the inconvenience. Being a former manager at a high end restaurant, there is no way I would've allowed a customer who had that horrible of an experience, to pay. Margaritaville will never see another dollar from us ever again.
*Since my review, management reached out to me, to try and right their wrongs. So I will be giving Margaritaville...
Read moreI went in a small group, one of us had a child with us. We waited in line and were told at the front we could get happy hour drinks at the outdoor bar area, we walked out there stood in line again just to get told we couldn’t order happy hour drinks outside. Then was told to go inside and order at the bar inside the restaurant, the bartender told us that the child wit us could not come in so her mom stayed back and we went inside to get her drink with ours. The new bartender didn’t know anything and asked the manager and she tried to help us understanding the mix communications, she then said we couldn’t take the drink out to the mother who couldn’t come in she had to get it herself and I told her she was told not to come in with the child and she told me that wasn’t true no one said that. I told her the bartender outside said it she said no he didn’t. So at this point I feel uncomfortable because she called me a liar basically.. I asked her a few questions about giving me the same deal she gave the others with me and told her how we were told so many different things and she got upset and refused to serve me. I’ve never been in this situation I was confused and all she kept saying was yea it’s a no for me I can give you a cup of water. In my head I’m like wow…You can serve me water but not the drink I came in for, you shouldn’t serve me nothing at all if you was that uncomfortable. I literally asked a question and she couldn’t take it. I’ve been a manager plenty times and would have never done that to someone who just asked questions. If you go to this location just find “the Billy Goat” they drinks are the best out there and they treat...
