We visited here on 8/3. The store is 4 levels had a decent selection of merchandise and shoes. The sales staff that helped us were all very nice Olivia in women's was absolutely awesome. The reason I did not give five stars is due to the unprofessionalism of one salesman in the men's department. This "salesman" His name tag said Raphael, skinny guy about 5'8 wearing gray Nike sweatpants and a white t-shirt, with white airforce ones on.This guy was so unprofessional he gets box of Jason Tatums shoes and he starts putting them on , my husband makes a comment to him about having them the guy completely ignores him. He tries the shoes on then removes his name badge and goes and gets a basketball and literally stars dribbling it where the customers are. He then put the baseball up and starts checking the grip of the shoe on the floor. He then takes them off and says loudly " NOPE" and put them back in box and returns them to the back. After all this occurs a lady then asks him for a size 9.5 in the red and black Jordan 1's he walks past them and goes past the elevators towards the front of the store and never brings them the shoes another person has to go and get them. Then lastly a customer was asking another salesperson to see the jordan legacy shoe,. Raphael goes to the customer and says to him "why do you want that shoe? That shoe is the worst collab ever" he literally was talking down about the shoe as if to talk person out of purchasing it. My husband and I felt this guy was just rude, terrible and should not be working there. Overall we loved the store would definitely come back when we visit again, but hopefully this poor salesperson...
Read moreEVERY PERSON OF COLOR WHO SHOPS, SHOULD NOT BE PROFILED BECAUSE OF THEIR COLOR. OUR DEMEANOR DID NOT PRESENT ANY INTENTIONS OF WRONG DOING. MY FAMILY AND I ARE HUGELY DISAPPOINTED IN NIKE - AS A CUSTOMER WHOS FAMILY OF 7 WEARS NOTHING BUT. THE AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY ARE THE LARGEST SUPPORTERS OF NIKE CORP, HOWEVER TREATED LIKE THIEVES. ALL PEOPLE OF. OLOR ARE NOT SAVAGES OR THIEVES AND INSTEAD OF TREATING US AS SUCH PROPERLY PROFILE YOUR CUSTOMERS. My family and I were visiting the Chicago area. North Michigan Ave is a popular spot and us being HUGE Nike supporters and fans, we had to check it out. The store itself is ok, doesn’t offer a lot of shoes, however my daughter was looking for shoes for upcoming Spring high school track season. She went to look for her shoes (2nd floor), I went to look at children’s shoes (4th floor). After perusing, I came back down to her, I could tell she was uncomfortable. I could also see 2 security guards watching her - standing within 20 feet of her. So I sat next to her as she continues to try on her shoes. The young lady who was assisting her gave her the wrong size shoe. Another woman who appeared to be the manager asked if should could help, so as I was explaining to the young lady gave her the wrong size shoe, the security guard walks over to us now within 1 foot of my daughter- so I asked if I could assist her with something , she looked at me stated no. I asked if she could back up off my daughter now! She stared- I stood up and asked her again. Then the 2nd security guard comes over. I told my daughter to get her shoes on so we...
Read moreI've made several visits to this store, various days and times, and today was the most disappointing. I was on a mission to buy a new pair of sneakers, I found my way to the third floor, decided on two different pairs of shoes, requested my sizes, then was just handed the boxes before the sales person walked away.
There's a reason why the specialty running stores do well, they're customer service is near unbeatable. Their sales associates really know everything about the brands they carry and what works best for the individual who is shopping.
Today, I wasn't asked how my shoes were fitting, I wasn't asked if I needed any help as I started picking up a few different styles, and I was only given a generic response when I asked what the difference was between two styles.
The best service I received was upon checking out downstairs and as I was exiting the store, I was thanked and told to have a great day. I would have given 4, maybe 5, stars had a shred of customer service existed.
I am pretty stoked about the pair I bought but I can't say much about the shopping experience itself. Nike, I think you can afford to put more money into training your associates to be real brand ambassadors and put customer service standards at the top of the list...
