For safety reasons outside heading downstairs to The Cheesecake Factory & other restaurants additional handrails in between the steps going downstairs on both sidesteps are needed ASAP. Saw a lady on crutches struggling walking up the stairs it took her way over 45 minutes just to get up the stairs truly heartbreaking and sad to watch but someone did help her out., Arrived at 2:35 p.m The tour bus company that is located outside of 875 North Michigan Ave their should be a better indication where the buses are going to pick up/drop off Because at the trolley payment booth it doesn't explain were to go just showed The QR code & time only. Having to wait / sitting outside patiently very one that was they're waiting for the tour 🚌 through it was going to pick us up at the corner where the trolley payment booth was located . The 🚌 came around the corner right next door of The American Girl Store had to run fast just to catch the 🚌 at 4:55 p.m. It was extremely full with people sitting up top of the tour bus only three people got off The female bus driver told us that this was her last & final stop of the night. The bus driver never did say anything about another bus will come just straight up lied waisted $300.00 for four people. Must do better when people from out of town/overseas visiting the beautiful Downtown Chicago Illinois for a nice bus tour experience with signs showing you where to go waiting for the buses having someone sit inside the trolley payment booth and two bus stops at both ends of the building not just one...
Read moreWe were going to the Signature Room 95th. Floor and to start off the seating arraignments was very chaotic and had to move a couple times. The band was SOO loud , couldn't even talk to my wife across the table. The food came out in courses and it took a flare and a sign to get the right waiter for drinks or anything. It looked like only 1 per section and that wasn't enough when you have this much people. My wife had to go to the restroom and you had to go up about 3-4 steps to the table the same way the waiters, busboys were using too. Well she had knee surgery and had to take a step at a time. She was actually told "Come On Come On" hurry by the waiter, we both didn't appreciate it at all. So the food was just ok , for what we paid we were thinking more , but it look like standard fare. Because of the noise of the band and having to ask for champagne when that should be offered for sure an hour before midnight. We reserved these seats which was charged already, the waiter didn't check this and we were billed another $ 450 plus bread and cocktails. I had to fix this with the mgr and still had $ 75 for 2 drinks & table bread. Left before midnight and went back to our rooms disappointed. Not doing that again or going to the restaurant or bar on the 95th. Not like it use to , you felt special there , dressed up and now I saw some one guy wearing sneakers...
Read moreAs you already know, its a down town attraction, and like anything down town be ready to use public transportation, taxi/uber your way the building or be ready to pay upwards of $40 in parking as the activities like the signature room and 360 view or tilt will likely take about two hours in average.
We did the Tilt in this trip, which was more exciting than what we had expected. There will be 4 waiting areas* in which you will spend close to an hour (during the weekend). If you didn't purchase your tickets in advance you'll get in line (1st), then the small like to get to the bag inspection (2nd), then you'll get in like to get your picture taken (in the event that you want to have a memory of your adventure) and on this same like you'll get you ticket scanning (3rd* and most lengthy line), then a small line to the elevators which will take you to this company's main attraction, and once you are there where you'll have a beautiful 360 view of the surrounding neighborhoods and the nice view to the downtown area and the metro area as well as an experience of a small area that had only screens and no glass windows (I must admit is nice to enjoy the sounds of the city from that height). Lastly you'll join the last waiting line to get to the Tilt, which moves...
