I love sharing Project Onward with my local friends and out-of-town visitors. They are all floored by the quality and quantity of the artwork produced by the artists here, and it's rare they leave without buying a memento or gift (I mean, how couldn't you? It's a non-profit, so every purchase is 100% feel-good.).
The best time to visit is when the artists are working in the studio. The energy they bring to the space is infectious, and addicting (at least I haven't been able to stop visiting and volunteering on a regular basis for the last three years). Most of them love to talk about their work, and, it is plain to see, how passionate, talented and genuine they all are.
Even when the artists aren't there, the studio space is incredible. It is easy to spend hours looking at the art covering the walls, and flipping through the art bins. I highly doubt you'll have trouble finding a piece or two to bring home at any price range, but, if you do, the artists will take commissions!
