Our second time coming here since their opening, and no improvements were noted. From service, to food, to waiting time- everything was poor! First, my husband and I got seated after the older ladies behind us.
We ordered sweet garlic baby ribs and smelt fish (extra crispy) and they were indeed crispy but very fishy. My husband ordered a braised tofu claypot that he cancelled along with the mango cheesecake because they didn’t come even after an hour of waiting. The servers did not apologize at all, just got told that they will not include them in the bill (which is standard). On top of that 1 hour wait, we still waited about 20 minutes before our food came.
One of the reasons we came again, was because we had received a coupon in our mail and wanted to redeem it but it was not honored at all in this restaurant (very frustrating).
The only positive thing I can write about is my mango smoothie (it was refreshing but a bit sweet for my liking).
We were told by the server that there were “problems at the kitchen” that’s why they were unable to make some of the food orders. We noticed a mix up of orders for some customers, one food item was brought to a table of customers who didn’t order it, and instead of taking it back to the kitchen- the waitress took it and gave it to the right customer.
I really wanted to enjoy my time here with my husband, but we ended up regretting our choice of giving this restaurant another chance. I do not understand how they’re still functioning with short staffing, and mediocre, overly priced food items. Respectfully, we will never come back to this place and would not recommend it to anyone. Please save yourself some time and money and go...
Read moreI love Eggs Benedict so always try whatever varieties restaurants offer. The Lobster Cake Benedict presentation was beautiful...until I cut into the egg. Water saturated the English muffins before noticing the slimey, clear, gelatin-looking [more descriptive would be snotty &/or mucous appearing] extremely undercooked poached eggS (both of them, not just one). My brunch companion had ordered the Avocado Salmon Benedict so I was hopeful hers was prepared properly because it looked scrumptious (& mentally already planning on coming back to try that selection). But alas, the same scenerio so we both passed on consuming the potential salmonella by sending the plates back. Never heard from the cook, chef, or owners; so very disappointing. We even stood outside & waited for them to open since conflicting operating hours are posted while several others did not because we were excited to try this neighborhood's new fusion restaurant. Was told the coffee tasted like instant & my friend was never offered a warm up or refill. My Avocado Smoothie was good: hence, the two stars. We enjoyed our conversation in the atrium = 5☆.
UPDATE: I failed to take pictures of the grossly undercooked eggs as evidence the response received that they were assuredly cooked properly...
Read moreLunch on March 09 and was my second time. Food, service and atmosphere were good. However, for those who will visit, please CHECK your bill before you pay. I ordered three dishes. Stir fried E-fu noodles 10.99 Chinese broccoli 10.99 Fish head (today's special) 11.99 Supposed with tax should be $37.45
We didn't pay attention at that time. Just remember one item was $14.99 Total with tax was $44.07 Paid $52.
On our way home, I was thinking how come the total was $44.07. And we figured out that they charged as follows:- $11.99 $12.99 $14.99 Total $39.97 plus 10.25%tax of $4.10 Final with tax was $44.07
Dishonest behavior is not acceptable. Why I said this is dishonest and not a mistake or mixed up? It happened to a few friends also, only they didn't bring this kind of issue out.
This morning, I talked to my friend who originally recommended this place and he said that it happened to them too. Charged a couple dollars more, but he let go all the time.
If you like the place, PLEASE CHECK YOUR BILL.
I will not recommend this place even the food is good, ORIGINAL price on menu is reasonable, it's a principle of being honest. The server didn't do the check out, the owner did. (I guess is pretty lady behind...
