Will not be returning. This was my first and only time visiting the symphony center. I attended the Harry Potter showing and my experience was an absolute day of frustration. I was not told I had to purchase a souvenir cup in order to take my drink into the theatre. The theatre escort did an awful job trying to explain this to our group and we walked away confused and needed to ask the beverage server what the rules were. I was then charged $30 for a wine and a water. The wine was $13 and the water was $5. Unfortunately I did not get a receipt, but I did see there was a $4 and change charge for a tip. I did not tip the server nor was I asked to. Not sure what all the other charges were to make my bill add up to $30! The women’s restrooms were not stocked before, during, or after the show. Please see the video I have included of all the empty stalls. Just not acceptable! They had no area to take a commemorative photo. So we tried to get one on the main floor in the aisle so the screen was in the background. We were yelled at by several attendants that we needed to “get out” because they had another showing starting in 30 minutes. The service was an absolute farce and I would not recommend this venue for any future visitors.

Wonderful performance space to hear music. I have subscribed here for a few years and it's the highlight of the cultural season for me. The sound is magnificent and does justice to the quality of the musicians on stage. Looking forward to the new Music Director tenure. Muti has left a great legacy to follow. We who live in Chicago sometimes take the CSO for granted.

The place is beautiful, spotless, and has excellent acoustics. The staff is super friendly and attentive. I attended the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets concert, and it was incredible. Excellent experience. 100% recommended and I would definitely go again.

The experience was amazing but the restrictions on capturing audio, video or photography was disappointing. The Daniel Burnham designed theater was beautiful, and well maintained. The seating was plush, the restrooms relatively adequate and clean. There was a bin with Halls cough drops in the lobby, for those who could anticipate the need to suppress their chortles and coughs. From the balcony, the sound engineering was professionally tuned to the venue, enabling the Meyer Sound array to bring the appropriate tones and timbres to...

welp. a very pretty space with decent acoustics. a real shame about the staff deciding to not like a large portion of us see thirty minutes of a concert because they wanted to wait for an "applause break" indefinitely.
