Chickasha, Oklahoma Goodwill . Was humiliated and accused of lying today in front of other shoppers by Melissa (cashier). Everyone knows that Goodwill doesn’t HOLD THINGS FOR ANYONE….well, that’s not true if you’re a family member. Today I dropped in for a minute, I love a good deal. I looked in the cases and ask Melissa if I could see something in the case, I’m a regular so normally they just hand it to me to look at and if I want it I say so and put iit in my buggy and go on shopping….but Melissa informed me that she couldn’t get it out because she was ringing people up and had to be one on one with anyone looking at something out of the case! lol, you would have thought I was in Macys . She continued ringing the next person up. I walked off. I made my way to the back of the store where they have buggy’s you can go thru until they get it put up, after digging around I found a wireless home security system new in the box for $5.99 so I put it in my buggy. Made a circle around to the t-shirts picked out a few and a pair of jeans. Went to pay and she informed me that I could not buy the alarm system because it belonged to a lady that had been there earlier but her form of payment did not work and accused me of getting it out of a buggy that was randomly sitting up front not even close to the check, I hadn’t even looked in the buggy. I told her where I had gotten it and had found it digging around in the buggy in the back she told me that I DID NOT DIG FOR IT BECAUSE IT WAS IN THE BUGGY UP FRONT! Humiliated me in front of other shoppers calling me a liar, she came around to my side of the counter I thought she was going to try and take it and I wasn’t letting go. She called Mary the manager, explained everything to her and she called someone? Came back up front and said she couldn’t sell it to me because the buggy of stuff belonged to a relative of an employee, that the buggy was supposed to have been pushed to the back. She said she would make it worth my while! I like Mary but she was in the wrong and Melissa definitely needs some classes in customer service. Apparently she was having a bad day or simply doesn’t trust ANYONE, she was working the cash register with her purse on which I would think would be an issue...
Read moreThe woman who checked my friend & I out, Sherrie, was extremely unprofessional. She called us to her lane by saying she was open "Unless you hate me." Someone who I assume to be the manager told her to call them if the lines got too long, to which she replied "Well, a bunch of people just came in. You saw them," in a rude tone. She then made both my friend & I report the tag colours to her instead of checking them herself & made my friend bag his own items. When I tried to pay, she gave me incorrect instructions by telling me to hit the X on the machine & then immediately getting snappy telling me I had done something wrong—to which I tried again (because she didn't clarify further) & she attempted to swat my hand away saying "You already messed it up once." I asked her if I could insert my card to pay because she was being unclear, she said yes, so I did, & then she said to tap the card machine. I tapped it with my hand & she got snappy telling me to tap my card instead, even though I had already inserted it upon her blessing. Overall, she was incredibly rude & unprofessional (to everyone she interacted with) during a 5 minute interaction which...
Read moreIt's harder to find the good deals they used to have at the old location. They do have one color tag for $0.99 that makes it worth a visit if you're already in the area (though it's hard to track down which color in on sale, despite staff's assertions that there are "signs everywhere"). I was a tad annoyed that I was charged $4.99 for a shirt from the kid's section where everything is labeled $2.49. When I mentioned this, I was told that it must have been put in the wrong section - "that's the problem with having men shelve clothing," the clerk said. I pointed out that it was labeled a size Large and yet too small for me, an adult XS, and was told "that brand runs small." I know it's not a huge $ difference, but seriously, it was donated at no cost to them. I can pay $5 for a brand new kids' shirt at TJ Maxx or clearance just about anywhere. I used to go out of my way to stop by this one on trips from OKC to western Oklahoma, but I think this will be my last trip. Like I said though, if you're already in Chickasha, it may be worth a trip to check out...
