Balensi Spa — Attraction in Chula Vista

I truly enjoy this spa. I looked around SD to find a professional place that offered services for my back. I break out easily so I needed to make sure the products were not too oily or greasy. There is a zen waiting area with a water fountain, and offer you drinks while you wait. The staff is very professional and have great customer service skills.

The reason for my 3 stars is because I scheduled a back peel about 6 weeks out (person that can do the service are very limited), only to get to the day and be exposed to COVID. I had to reschedule two weeks out, now to come up to my 8th week. Unfortunately, they rescheduled my back peel to a back facial. I clearly didn’t realize that I had been rescheduled to the wrong service until I was paying; the price is significantly different. At that point, there was nothing I could do. I paid for a service I didn’t want (which was a good experience, just not how I wanted to spend my money). Once I spoke to the staff, they rescheduled me once again. Now I have to wait 3 more weeks to get the service I originally scheduled and spend twice the amount. It won’t keep me from going back but it was disappointing and clearly I paid for a mistake I didn’t make. Just make sure you speak your service clearly and always double check that they have it right in the system.

They have a membership option that I would have been part of but it runs for the year. I will moving at some point within my year so I couldn’t join ($65/mo that includes a free monthly facial or massage). You get discounts on other services. Worth...

I have been here twice so far. The first time I got an Acne Comodex facial from Jenny with a High Frequency add on. My face felt super clean and looked really fresh when I got home. Jenny was really nice and explained to me what she was doing which I appreciated. She suggested a blemish control product to me when we walked back into the main building. I have been using it and my skin is looking great.

The second time I had a combination massage with the add on of CBD oil. Precious was the masseur and did such an amazing job with the combination massage! This was my first time getting a massage here and I am so excited to come back. I already booked two more massages. Precious was really professional and made me feel so comfortable. The room was air conditioned and the massage table was heated (a nice combo).

Right when you show up for your appointment you need to wait outside by the steps for someone to come talk to you. They find out your info and offer you tea or water and ask you to take a seat outside. They bring you your drink with a delicious prepackaged cookie. After a few minutes, the person providing your service comes and calls your name.

This spa is so cool and really close to home which is a huge plus. I love that you can book online. When I come, I park out front where there is metered parking. You have to use coins for the meters; I pay $1.10 for an hour and 12 minutes. There is also a lot right across from the spa that has paid parking. Farmer's Table is right...

This was my first time in.had a prepaid service as gift.I was a little sceptical after reading some reviews, but my wife swears by this place . She assure me I would help me with my aching shoulders n lower back ..and she made it point to say that their service was outstanding. Unfortunately, it wasn't! I really didn't see ..or feel anything outstanding on their behalf..specially for price...when i first walked in.. there is a check in pad,no one to greet you or anything.i did notice a tiny lounge with a few people in bath robes.after checking in u wait about a minute . I get walked straight back to a room and ask to prep my self...didn't get offered anything not even glass of water ..didn't even asked if I needed to use rest room.they did try to upsell me on a lotion though. I was suppose to get a full body deep tissue message..but only had my shoulders n neck worked on..(which was okay.nothing special though) .definitely not deep tissue....though....getting home I'm told I was suppose to receive other service that were paid for..that I didn't receive ..so I'm really disappointed .top it off after cooling down ..all my aches n pains came back..definitely not worth money or time spent there..was upset my wife gave em a tip..I do not recommend this place at all..not a good first impression...
