Big 7 Motel — Attraction in Chula Vista

We booked here for a week, upon arriving seemed fine though a little dirty. Every night there is meth heads and drunks arguing and being loud. The sink was wrapped in toilet paper on the 90° bend had to use hotel towels to keep floor dry. We have been low on cash so we found hotel to say a week, and decided to book for another week since it was holiday weekend and everything cost to much. We booked on agoda and went to front desk the owner said booking was confirmed. 3 days later around 1045 am we went to check out and check in they owners wife said we were not in the system and sorry but we had to leave. We proceeded to call agoda and they called hotel and said they couldnt do anything to help us agoda had already taken our money and couldn't refund so they gave us agoda cash for hotels to rent. This being memorial weekend we couldn't afford another week so we got 4 days instead of 7 and have to sleep in the car till we get paid. After loading the car we went to check out at 1130 and they said they were keeping our deposit for late check out. This is a terrible hotel with thieves for owners stay at your own risk. This motel should be avoided. They really have no business being in business in San Diego or anywhere where there is any other hotel option within 20 miles. Here is a summary of what my wife and I encountered: We were in room 219; The door cannot be locked and secured so I put the desk, chair, and our luggage in front of the door; the window in the bathroom has no lock on it, the smoke detector was disconnected, no Kleenex, the blanket on the bed had burn holes in it; (the air conditioner did work fine.) The wall unit housing the refrigerator, microwave, and dresser drawers is rotted and belongs in the trash; no place to hang clothes anywhere in the room, no iron or ironing board, no safe for valuables, no hooks or towel rods in the bathroom. The three towels provided were washed but small, old, and stained. The towels looked like oversized, hand towels, rather than bath towels. The bars of soap are so small. They’re almost like single use bar soap. No hair dryer, no soap dish in shower. There is literally no place to set anything in the shower. Soap and shampoo and gel and razors. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! If you're from out of town and need a simple place to lay your head don't let the price fool you cause as soon as you pull up to the parking lot you will not feel safe. The first thought was to lock my belongings in my car. The house keepers seem very suspicious and stare when your unloading your vehicle and a police car drives thru the parking lot like it's a regular route. I took that as a sign to get out of dodge. Read the fine print -NON REFUNDABLE. So keep in mind when you arrive here you will want to walk right out and find a safer place to be. I had a confrontation with the person at the front desk and he was not responsive and did not want to give me back my money. Believe me when I say you're going to waste time and money at this roach motel. Not worth it and wonder why they advertise this location on any booking site. They need to be shutdown. I did not have Internet or cable and they said it was a technical issue and could not fix it. While I was waiting for a response from customer service to book another place to stay they had informed me that they are not going to refund me if I leave. I left anyway cause this place...
