After months of planning, it’s hard to believe how smoothly the events of the evening unfolded, but our daughter‘s wedding at the Cincinnati Art Museum last week was everything we had envisioned. Friends advised us that we really needed to hire a wedding coordinator to handle all of the many details that are involved in planning a wedding and having it go off without a hitch. As we found out, that is absolutely not true - and would be totally unnecessary - when you work with professionals like Terrie Simons at the art museum. From our tasting appointment in May right up to the wedding itself, Terrie did not skip a beat when it came to managing the organizational details of the event. On the wedding day, she oversaw every aspect of the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception – from greeting vendors and overseeing their set ups, to keeping the wedding party on time, timing the processional to a tee, straightening boutonnieres and bouquets. Everything. I don’t think there was a blade of grass out of place in the beautiful courtyard. During the reception, Terrie’s staff, including Captains Austin and Jordan, were flawless in their execution, delivering food that is on par with the best restaurants in Cincinnati. There was never a line at the bar and the bartenders were friendly and fast. Our family and friends had THE BEST TIME! To a person, the entire CAM staff exceeded our expectations and helped create a wedding celebration that our daughter and son-in-law will remember for the rest of their lives. If you’re planning a wedding, and want peace of mind from start to finish, trust Terrie to coordinate it for you…and you won’t need...
Read moreMaybe next time, I did not get to go inside but I did do the art climb and walk parts of the trail. I did not know how beautiful Cincinnati is in general. I am glad I stumbled into this great city and this absolutely magnificent museum, beautiful art area, nature.
I am not sure I made myself believe this city would be an awful place with no beauty at all. As a sports fan and play I conditioned myself to hate teams and locations for the love of my team. For the love of sport I am glad I have stepped away from blind hate and have stepped into willful appreciation.
The things you find when you enter enemy terrain and seek to learn from those we view in opposition. I am stuck in a dilema destroy something beautiful to spite my enemy or preserve the beauty and look to mend fences.
The choice is easy… war, riot, yell, argue fight. I must shame, defame and send authorities to shut this place down. Follow the example of our political leaders our countries parents and adults, they set the example to justify my bad behavior.
Pictures don’t do it justice go see for yourself.
I picked the Pinocchio statue because my friend Korean Butters on YouTube. Pinocchio teaches us we can be who we want, the world is ours, if we can break free from the strings and control of those who we give our power to.
Met people traveling all the way from Miami just to see it for the 5th time, things we do for children. Come for the Reds, stay for the Museum. Baseball season gives you plenty of reasons to be bad and good. Pinocchio teaches the choice is...
Read moreThis museum is situated in a charming part of Cincinnati. While it isn't in the downtown area, it is conveniently near a variety of delightful restaurants, quaint shops, and a nearby residential neighborhood. Parking in the lot can be a challenge due to heavy crowds, so you may need to circle around until a spot opens up. Alternatively, you can park on the street and walk to the museum, but keep in mind that the walk includes some uphill sections—comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
During our visit, there was a special promotion that granted us free entry. However, we arrived later in the day and had only about two hours to explore. Even at a brisk pace, two hours simply isn't enough time to fully appreciate all the exhibits. The museum spans multiple levels and features a small restaurant with a cozy seating area on the first floor, offering a nice spot to take a break.
As a classic art museum, it showcases a diverse range of art and exhibits from various periods. Notably, the mummy exhibit is located on the first floor, so it's a good idea to prioritize this if you're interested, as it closes a bit earlier than the rest of the museum.
The overall atmosphere is serene and allows you to move at your own pace. It’s a fantastic destination, whether you're bringing children, going on a date, or simply seeking a tranquil...
