Hyde Park Nails — Attraction in Cincinnati

Not what I expected. Very small. Website gave impression it was type of salon where appointments were appreciated vs. walk ins. I made appointments for 3 girls to get manicures together and once we arrived, there was no attempt made to sit us near each other. When I would look over my shoulder to talk to my friend, the guy doing my nails would yell at me not to move. While my nails were being done, a woman (who was on first name basis with my technician, implying to me that she was a longstanding customer) came in to tell my technician that her polish from the last manicure wasn't lasting. The technician said it wasn't his fault, he used OPI and if she didn't like it she could bring in her own nail polish. He was very rude and snappy with her, even cutting her off as she spoke. She told him she had come in willing to pay to have her nails redone, but wanted him to know the situation, but he didn't respond. It was extremely unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable.

Care was not taken to ensure full nail coverage with the polish, as I asked several times for the technician to correct many nails.

While waiting for my nails to dry, the technician took the 'soaking bowl' he had used for my nails, dumped the water out and put it right back under the sink where he had gotten it from just 30 minutes before. This gave me the impression they don't wash their 'soaking bowls'.

The wonderful ladies here at this salon are affordable, trustworthy, happy and are very skilled in everything they do. I’ve gotten my eyelash extensions done here twice, each time they were patiently installed and they have stayed in for at least 6 weeks for me. 5stars.. Also my nails are fabulous and stay fabulous because of the professional and friendly team that work here. I had a permanent lips done here, at first I was hesitant but I went ahead and got it done because I really don’t like redoing my lips over and over again throughout the day it takes up too much of my precious time. Well anyway the lips turned out to be very successful and I’m very happy about that. The lips took about a solid week to fully heal i will say but definitely satisfied..They schooled me about the products they used on me and answered my questions with plenty of proof to back up their word. Happy, healthy,comfortable and supportive is all they have here. No pressure all hands down I leave here feeling more...
