It seems like a sheer coincidence that Jordan and I first met in 2010 at Murray State University. After both growing up in Louisville, Kentucky and unknowingly crossing paths on several occasions, we both chose to attend and run cross country for the same college. Our relationship that began as teammates quickly grew to friendship and dating. It was during this dating period that I lost my favorite bracelet that I had worn every day for years. When Jordan graduated, he moved to Cincinnati for graduate school at the University of Cincinnati. Living in the Gaslight District and working at Children's Hospital he frequently walked past Paolo's shop. As our dating anniversary was approaching, Jordan wanted to replace the bracelet I lost. However, he could not find an exact replica (it was authentic and made/purchased in Chile) and decided that if he couldn't find the same bracelet he would just have to make a new one. He stopped by Paolo's while walking home from work and went in to discuss the possibility of recreating my lost bracelet. Paolo's recreation of the bracelet was phenomenal: it still had the old South American design with a modern edge. After experiencing Paolo's craftsmanship first hand, Jordan started consulting Paolo with a bigger project in mind; an engagement ring. The ring Jordan and Paolo created is stunning and suits me perfectly. Jordan was so excited to give it to me that he blew off his original plans and proposed the first chance he got seemingly out of the blue early one morning back in March. Since then, I have graduated and followed Jordan to Cincinnati. There was never any doubt that we would trust Paolo with the next exciting step; designing wedding bands! We trust his opinion and expertise implicitly and could never imagine sharing this adventure with the help of any other jeweler. We’ve been married 2 years now and we’re still finding excuses to stop by the store and see what new designs...
Read moreMy wife and I won one of there date night experiences that included car service by tesla , 500 jewelry makeover with cleaning and resizing. What we got couldn’t have been farther from that. The car service wasn’t a Tesla like it was supposed to be. We got charged a ridiculous amount to get rings resized and clean. Over $100 dollars to do a simple resizing and cleaning. The previous place I bought the jewelry would clean it for free every time I took it to them. When you read the ad any person would believe that the cleaning and resizing would be included in the date night. We also got an appraisal on the two rings, which again we were charged for and not included in the package. Even on our receipt they did not put any price for anything of this. VERY SHADY. The date night included a 100 dollar gift certificate to prime steakhouse, which was about the only thing that is correct about this date night. But yet again, this couldn’t be done right because we both asked for our steaks medium, and both came out well done. The whole time we were at Paolo they were trying to sell other pieces, which is understandable but once they found out we were not buying anything we were treated like second class citizens. They pushed us outside before our car was ready and could care less about us. Another thing they conventially forgot to mention was that the $500 jewelry makeover couldn’t be used towards resizing, cleaning or appraisal. We were told that this would take 2 weeks to get our jewelry back. We never got any calls on when it was done and finally had to call them to see if it was done. They then proceeded to tell it was done(thanks for not calling) and had to set up a special appointment just to pick it up!This fun “date night” turned into a nightmare and I wouldn’t recommend anyone...
Read moreOur experience with Paolo was incredible! Our youngest daughter, Eden, is 15 years old and we wanted to create a custom necklace to commemorate her Rite of Passage into womanhood. We knew that Paolo’s team was the perfect choice to create this beautiful piece. I am a designer / architect by trade and had a very unique design prepared that reflected Eden’s Identity, beauty and personality. There is deep meaning and symbolism behind the composition. Also, jewelry that was given to us from her grandparents was integrated into the piece. At the first meeting with Paolo, he listened to our thoughts and reviewed my sketches. He was immediately excited about what we were trying to create. He did voice some concerns about how the necklace would sit/ hang and how each diamond would be set. His team put together a digital model of the design along with some sketches for our initial review in a very timely manner. Once received, it become evident that the design wasn’t quite in line with my vision so I proposed some changes and provided some new sketches for Paolo to review. They respectfully received my requests and were very willing to revise the design. Within a few days he sent back the new model which beautifully represented what we were trying to achieve. The details and craftsmanship of the necklace were phenomenal. I am thankful we chose Paola AGAIN and highly recommend his services for all your jewelry needs....
