Per the recommendation of my regular florist I placed an order with Gennarelli's Flower Shop to be delivered to a local hospital. Per their website, if you order flowers before noon, they will be delivered for $6.95 the same day. Order was placed late morning and delivery fee was $14. We did our due diligence and called the hospital's ICU and were assured that the flowers could be kept at the Nurse's station. The "attempt" to deliver wasn't until the following day and the florist called to say that the flowers couldn't be delivered. I called the hospital and they said a delivery attempt wasn't made. I followed up with the floral shop and Liz answered. She was extremely rude and abrupt saying they fulfilled their obligation and it wasn't their problem. Liz said they would "try" to deliver the following day but couldn't guarantee it because they had funeral arrangement to be delivered. I reminded her that I ordered the flowers yesterday morning and now I was getting a "maybe" for two days later. I told her she was rude and she replied "you've spoken to me for less than 5 minutes", and she claimed she wasn't rude. I asked for the order to be cancelled and be issued a refund. I've never ordered from this shop before and will never recommend them to anyone else. In reading the most recent reviews for this shop, it's not surprising to hear they are rude and not professional. Ordering flowers is expensive and deliveries are time sensitive. If you can't do the basics, then close up shop! If the shop replies to this review, their response will be like their other responses, not taking responsibly and projecting the blame onto the customer or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was, BY FAR, the BEST experience I've ever had when ordering flowers. I've lived all over New England because of my girlfriends job so I've always bounced from florist to florist, never really having a great experience at any of those shops... UNTIL TODAY. Today is my 4-year Anniversary and my girlfriend was about 1.5 hours from home for work. A quick google search brought me a few options, but the reviews for this place were significantly better, so I called.
Rick Niznik (the man I spoke to) was absolutely a breath of fresh air. Not only did he tell me that they would deliver before 5pm (when she leaves), but he also helped me select the best combination of flowers for my special person. I gave him my budget and he assured me they would look amazing (see attached photo). Well, they DO look amazing and they delivered within THE HOUR! That's insane!
Rick, again, you're the man and I wish every florist was a FRACTION of who you are. If you're reading this review and thinking about purchasing from this business, STOP READING AND JUST DO IT! You will thank yourself later and so will your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI live in S.C. and I called to order flowers for my Brother-in-Law funeral since I can not be there . The order taker was polite and got all the info correct . The correspondenceĀ by emailĀ was a good copy of the billing and an email when they were delivered to the funeral home . Ā My complaint is I called too days before the delivery date and talked to a lady and asked if when they get the arrangementĀ done if they could text me a picture of the flowers . I explained to her where I lived and could not go to the funeral and I did not think it would be a good thing to ask someoneĀ to take a picture . She said they don't do it and someone would have to take a picture with their private phone . But she would put a note on the paperwork . Well i have not got a picture but it would be nice if flower shops did this for customersĀ who order out of state . In a day with all the technologyĀ we now have why this can not be done . Next time I order flowers I will ask if they will do it. If not, I will shop untilĀ I get someone that will. It is nice to see what you are...
