Shore Thing Rentals — Local services in City of Glen Cove

My girlfriend and I rented a double kayak from Michelle at Shore Thing Rentals and had a wonderful time! As other reviewers mentioned, Michelle is professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. She was very helpful throughout the entire process, from telling us about the different routes to helping us get into and out of the kayak. We paddled from the marina to Garvies nature preserve to see the osprey nest, and then docked at the beach in Morgan Park and had some lunch at Hooked and and Battered. We had a wonderful time and are planning to return with other members of our family in the future.

Michelle made the whole experience great! I've used her a few times before and was always greeted with a smile.

This year that smile was behind a mask! But for those who are curious she has taken all the necessary precautions to keep her patrons safe in the face of the virus. (Sanitizing equipment, masks, etc.)

If you are, like my fiancée and I were, itching to get back out on the water she is totally worth the call.

The customer service here super friendly and helpful. They will guide you through the do's and the don'ts, will offer to take pictures and definitely get a laugh out of you while doing so. Clean restrooms on site for customers and their shops have a variety of things to offer. The place is great for water activities, once you get away from the shore, you will get a sight of the sky meeting the water, as far as one can see. Calm yet adventurous. Give it a shot, this week offers some great temperatures on Long Island. Located next to a very fancy restaurant by the shore but also offers some spots to make a picnic of your own.
