Mama Goose — Attraction in City of Ithaca

I am a busy working parent and I wouldn’t write a review for just anyone, but I will for Mama Goose and Jillians! I have been shopping with them ever since my first pregnancy 8 years ago. Now I have 3 kiddos. I love their selection. Their prices are reasonable. I love that I can sell gently used items for store credit. I love shopping local. I like the sustainability of purchasing used. All the staff are really nice, and the service is personal. If you call and say you’re looking for something, they’ll text pictures of what’s in stock, and will hold for you. If you need advice, they provide good insight. They have a discount for parents of twins! They have things in season when you need them. Costumes at Halloween, bikes in spring, winter gear when temps drop. This was my first time in the new location. Parking was definitely better and it didn’t feel so crowded. It took a minute to figure out how they had everything organized, but once you understand it, you can find most sizes and styles. They do have a great variety! We only left with 9 items of clothing and still spent $80 on nothing special. I don’t feel their prices are reasonable. We left there and went to old navy and left with a bag full of clothes for $75. They still wanted $17.99 for a pair of used little girls Target sneakers. We won’t be back unless we are looking for something specific or if I have something to sell. I’d rather shop thrifty or Salvation Army or even Target or old navy if I’m going to still spend $8-$10 for a used shirt. Do not take your baby items here to sell! They steal your items and rip you off! They take your item and sell the big items on consignment and then they sell it for less then what they tell you they are selling it for! They probably sell it for more and pocket most the money! They supposedly sold a brand new swing for me on consignment and I agreed to receiving $50 from it and they gave me a check for $9! They gave me no explanation on why I only received $9!
