From the moment I walked in until the moment I left, Josh's enthusiasm, expertise, and friendly demeanor made my visit truly unforgettable.

First and foremost, Josh's passion for axe throwing was contagious. His genuine excitement as he welcomed our group created an electric atmosphere filled with anticipation and energy. It was evident from the start that he truly loves what he does and is dedicated to ensuring his guests have an amazing time.

Josh's expertise and knowledge of axe throwing were exceptional. He took the time to explain the proper techniques, safety guidelines, and strategies to improve our throws. His patience and willingness to answer all of our questions made us feel comfortable and confident, even if we were beginners. With his guidance, I quickly saw my skills improve and felt a rush of exhilaration with every successful throw.

TLDR: Old School axe throwing with a new-school twist in a clean and fun environment with easy parking and lots of "side quests" nearby.

To celebrate my birthday we decided to put together a day full of activities that included axe throwing. I have been axe throwing before to a place in New Jersey, but in the interest of finding something closer and nearby to our dinner plans, we came across Banana’s Axe Cabana.

When you walk in, the vibe is dark, but fun - and tropical. Each participant gets a Hawaiian-style lei and there’s a great neon sign, perfect for taking group photos. One employee - possibly the owner or manager, even took our group photo with a professional-grade camera, then shared it with via social media.

The lanes were clean, the coaching was good and the music was good, although it could have been a little bit louder. I liked this axe throwing better than other places because they use a computer-projected target which offers a variety of games that you can choose from. Scoring is done with a wireless mouse. They currently do not serve hot food but have snacks and drinks available at a tiki-style bar.

Although we didn’t explore much beyond our lane, I would say that this place has an axe-throwing-meets-Dave-And-Busters vibe with lots of video games and other entertainment to partake in when you’re not chucking hatchets.

Finally, being a part of New Roc City, Banana’s Axe Cafe offers a variety of options to eat either before or after your session, plus a gigantic parking garage, nearby movie theater and (I think) even Go-Karting indoors. It’s a great place to spend an afternoon, or a multi-activity day.

One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. We planned a visit in advance, confirmed everything with the Owner ahead of time, and still got turned away at the door. The manager, John, was not only unhelpful but flat-out rude and dismissive to our entire group. His reasoning? Children aren’t allowed because the venue serves alcohol. It is important to note that there is an arcade for kids and families in this venue. So this is a completely outdated and ridiculous policy, especially considering family-friendly businesses like bowling alleys, Topgolf, and Dave & Buster’s all serve alcohol while welcoming families. If the concern is safety or behavior, then enforce rules or have waivers stating gaming will be revoked if rules are not being followed, don’t use alcohol as an excuse to exclude families, especially when your space was nearly empty on a Friday night. We were ready to spend our evening and money there but ended up going to another venue where we were welcomed without issue. Clearly, this place values rigid, poorly thought-out policies over customer experience. If this is how management treats guests, I won’t be returning—and I suggest others think twice before supporting a business that treats paying customers and families this way. Furthermore, John’s (manager) rudeness and lack of professionalism are concerning and need to be addressed, as he represents the brand and significantly influences how it is perceived...
