Ive been a New Rochelle resident for over 50 years. I grew up here, spent my teenage years like many of us in the late 70s and eighties going to, and working at the many bars on North Ave. Its a somewhat sad feeling passing thru that part if North ave and seeing that those bars (which was a HUGE part of our teen years), not only closed, but in many cases, demolished altogether. We made countless trips to our favorite Pizza joint, G & G Pizza. Probably the very best Greek style pizza Ive ever had, and Im speaking not just for myself, but the countless friends as well. Its a Family owned place, so now, under the name "Town Pizza", its run by the Sons of the owner of G & G Pizza, and its still, undoubtedly, the very best Greek style Pizza and restaurant place in town and beyond. Its so nice to see how the generations of the Sons have continued on in that same "Family" style. EVERY time I walk thru their door, Im ALWAYS personally greeted by whichever brother is behind the counter, with a handshake and a warm and friendly "Hey Sensei Jules...great to see you...hows the family doing ?" Its such a great place to dine in, or take out. The food is outstanding, there are always a large variety of "Specialty" pizzas in the counter, each one more delicious than the next. But dont worry, if that's not your kind if thing, just a "plain" slice is bursting with that fantastic Greek flavor, guaranteed to "WOW" even the harshest of critics. My friends and family have been loving their Pizza, and other available items, for almost 40 years. Think about that for a second...with a pizza joint on almost every street, we've been choosing to go there for THAT LONG...If that alone doesn't speak volumes about how great the Pizza and other food is, just ONE bite us all you need to instantly become a loyal customer. I wish I could rate 10 Stars, cause thats just how great it is. Stop by, see and taste for yourself. You and your tastebuds will be instantly happy. Theres not enough good things I can say about Town Pizza, as well as the family. Its a MUST if youre in the mood for some incredible pizza. ZERO disappointment, and in the last 40 years, I can honestly say...NEVER have I been unhappy with ANY item I order. Simply put... Ya just GOTTA...
Read moreDo not come here if you expect excellent customer service. I came here to buy pizza and to get change. I would give negative 1 stars if I could. The Hispanic looking slim guy with grey hair was extremely unprofessional and rude to me and my son even though we were paying customers. I was so upset and felt so disrepected that I ended up walking out without buying any pizza. Seriously Town Pizza of New Rochelle? You guys should do better to make out of towners feel welcome, especially out of towners with money to spend. If this is the service that I will receive whenever I enter a place like this, then you have lost a customer for life. Seriously, I can think of endless pizza shops that will not be openly hostile nor mistreat a customer this way. The color of my skin alone should never be a factor in how to treat me as a customer. Shame on you who allow...
Read moreAlthough the pizza itself was good the service was incredibly bad. Had to reorder 3 times because they kept "forgetting" to make my order and took 1 while hour for literally just a large plain pie. It wasn't even busy. I had a group with me that I was grabbing the pie for which is why I couldn't just walk out and the old guy with Grey hair was extremely rude going as far as basically THROWING the pizza at me and mumbling something under his breath. Young guy cursed me out in Spanish which I could tell because I know enough Spanish to be able to know what he was saying. Definitely felt like they discriminate against South Asians and another reviewer had a similar experience. Horrible experience and will definitely not be...
