Dollar Tree — Attraction in City of New Rochelle

*This store has gone downhill from when it first opened. Today, as I was going into the store, I got to witness a huge lady pull her pants down & take a poop in front of the store, on the sidewalk by the north avenue entrance. On the left side of the front of the store, there’s a man sitting there asking for money & drinking his 40 oz., the only difference is that he gets up to go pee behind the transformer in the parking lot instead of doing is biz on the sidewalk. All I want to know is WHY? Why can’t somebody do something about this? Why do people have to witness this? There were also customers coming in with young children. I have to ask: why are we (New Rochelle, the county of Westchester, the govt, etc.) normalizing this behavior??? This is unhealthy not to mention -quite disgusting. It is UNACCEPTABLE that people are allowed to deface the property with their fecal matter & urine. No human should be allowed to disrespect any property. Obviously they’re mentally ill / homeless which is part of a bigger problem - but should not be part of the business’s problem! All the manager has to do is call somebody! Why are they not dealing with this problem is the question. Management needs to step up & be a manager & work on preventing this debauchery from occurring right in front of a lucrative commercial property & business. If the cops are not helpful, then find a way to be a good manager & stop them from sitting in front of your store.There is a great divide here; someone HAS to take charge! Update: they are still there 5 months later so I guess this manager...

I called the store because I had a serious concern .. I left the store with a receipt that shows what I was correctly charged , yet my bank was charged 20 flat dollars more (not reflected on my receipt ) without my knowledge or consent . I called the store and asked for a manager , the woman I am transferred to says hello , and I say hello and ask if she is a manager and she yes . I begin by asking her name so I know whom I am speaking with for documentation purposes and she asks why I want her name and hangs up . I call back and she again hangs up .. I called back a third time and ask the person who answers what the managers name is and she told me the managers name was Tamara , as she says this I could hear the manager clearly asking her why she gave me her name and she raised her voice at that poor girl and then hung the phone up again … sketchy manager and a sketchy transaction … coincidence or caught ? I hope your store phone lines are recorded …Tamara needs to learn the basic tools of deescalation, managers should never escalate a situation , she also needs to be taught basic human interaction , how do you even work in retail yet alone...

I have been to other dollar trees so I know what to expect. However, this one was very uncomfortable. The shelves were bare and there were boxes everywhere. I actually triped on one of the boxes. The boxes stacked were a safety hazard above my head. Big boxes on top of small boxes. The hand trucks of boxes were in front of merchandise I was trying to purchase. I purchased some items and can't beat the price. For a Friday, it should have not been like that in there. Also, only one person at the register which is typical for most dollar trees i have been to. Long wait. Still cant beat the amount paid for goods. Everything a $1. This is my first time here. Mayber next time they will be more stocked with items on shelves and...
