I had a 24"X36" color print made at Lumiere. Nikki worked with me to evaluate the image file and print a small proof. Her advice was excellent and thoughtful. The resulting print more than met my expectations. It was clear, sharp, matched the colors of the original image perfectly.
The same image was sent to an out-of-town photo lab that was far less expensive. When comparing the prints, they looked the same until you looked closely. The Lumiere image had truer colors and was sharper. Lumiere's paper was higher quality. The out-of-town lab sent their print rolled tightly and placed in a mailing tube. Just unrolling the print damaged it. The Lumiere print had borders, the out-of-town lab's print did not.
If you just want to see what your image looks like printed large, using a low cost lab is just fine, but if you are printing an image for sale or exhibition I highly recommend Lumiere. The personalized service and the professional staff can make your prints every bit as good as...
