We visited Rye Nature Center for the first time and we loved it— a magical place where kids can explore, play, and have adventures! Wander through the woods, discover quiet ponds with frogs and turtles, and zoom down a big slide hidden right in the forest. There’s even a natural playground in the woods where you can climb, balance, and play with sticks and stones. The trails are fun and easy, and it’s open every day from sunrise to sunset. No tickets needed — it’s totally free! Come jump into nature’s playground at Rye Nature Center! There is a restroom available during business hours , check their website site for any special program , and forest school. We will be back soon! Trails : 2- 2.5miles. No dogs allowed on the grounds to protect wildlife in rehabilitation programs.

Beautiful nature park just a few minutes from the downtown area of Rye, New York. I came around 7:30 AM and it was empty except for the deer. Felt safe but I’ve never been here before and I’m not from the area. Very beautiful fall colors. There are marked trails, but the park is not huge and some of the trails will take you into an area that feels a bit less wild. I found two really nice nature-integrated playgrounds on site. I was not traveling here with my kids, but I think they would’ve loved it.

Nature center with wooded trails/ paths, playground, small ponds. Great area for bird watching. You will see plenty of deer and other small wildlife. The trails are fairly flat so this is appropriate for beginners and those with small children as the focus is on viewing and learning about wildlife.

I attended my grandsons 5 year old birthday party at Rye Nature Center Chris, the group environmentalist was amazing. There were a lot of children to manage and he knew exactly what to do. He was informative, engaging, kind and gentle to all their needs. On the nature walk he was especially aware of their safety. The scavenger hunt was a great way to keep the attention of this age group. Being in the field of education I was very impressed with his manner of teaching. Emma who was also with him was engaging as well. They definitely needed two adults for the number of kids they had. It was one of the best birthday parties my...

I visit this location every so often with students from my job. I can truly say that every time we arrive, we are greeted with warm hearted individuals who are eager to work with the kids and young adults from our little school. The staff here are also quite knowledgeable and very patient with all manner of students with varying needs or abilities. Couldn't be more pleased with the services...
