This is the worst DMV! Every time I go there I wait for hours! I recently went to renew my drivers license, which I was told to apply for enhanced because it will be mandatory after 2020, so I bring all of the required paperwork. When I got to the ticket line the young lady looks through my paperwork and gives me a ticket. I waited two hours and the number line that I was on (the Bās) was moving so slow, they were barely calling those numbers. Iām a very patient person but I was starting to get frustrated. Then the same young lady that gave me the ticket was going around checking on paperwork, when she came to me I asked why is this taking so long, she looked through my paperwork gave me the card to sign for the new license and clipped it all together with a paper clip and told me she is sorry but they have a new system. I then waited another hour until I was finally called. When I get to the counter the young lady looks at my paperwork and tells me how did you get this last name? I married in 2008 and changed my social security card and my last drivers license to my married name. But my birth certificate still has my maiden name of course. She tells me do you have your marriage certificate, at this point Iām fuming but trying to stay calm, I asked why would you need it when I came to DMV several years ago and was able to change my name, thats how I was able to change my name I gave all the appropriate paperwork. She then tells me she canāt do anything without it. Now Iām furious, so I tell her Iāve been here for three hours and my paperwork was checked TWICE! She then tells me I can come back with the marriage certificate, I told her no because I wasnāt going to wait another three hours. She offered me an expedited ticket if I came back that day, at that point I was so furious I told her no, took my paperwork and left. I understand that she needed that paperwork, what Iām upset about is the fact that my paperwork was checked twice and I wasnāt told three hours prior that I did not have all the paperwork. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a 2pm appointment and checked in right on time. Within 10 minutes my name was called to counter 3 (was coming in to renew my license to a REAL ID). The woman behind the desk then told me to proceed to take my picture and that she was only taking a picture because I would have to wait back in line again to be called. She told me it will be approximately a three hour wait time. I Was positive I didnāt hear her correctly and I said ā Excuse me, did you just say three hours?ā She said yes 3 hours. I told her that I had an appointment at 2 PM and thereās no reason why I should still continue to be waiting 3 WHOLE HOURS. She then rudely said āeveryone behind you has an appointment and has to waitā . I asked the lady at the front kiosk check to confirm if this informatjon was correct and she said ā Yeah itās three hours even if you have an appointment because we donāt even accept walk-ins anymoreā I was completely astonished that everyone at the DMV had to wait for so long with their appointments. I was sitting next to a woman who had an appointment at 12:45 and she wasnāt seen until 4pm. I was finally seen at 5:10 PM. Mind you, Back in April my husband wants to get his ID Was only there for 30 minutes with his appointment - Iām pretty sure this is because of the real ID Being enforced in May. However, thereās no reason why once she still have to wait three hours WITH an appointment. They are over booking themselves And donāt have enough stuff to take in all the reservation that they are confirming. As bad as it is, I already had to make this appointment two months in advance in May Because I couldnāt get one any sooner. That is why everyone will continue to stay for the appointments because it is absolutely necessary that they are seen for an appointment that took so long to even book. They need to get their act together and either LIMIT the amount of reservations they take per day, OR hire more staff. It was a complete waste of my time when I had other appointments to attend to that I had...
Ā Ā Ā Read morethe worst service at this place...I made a reservation for 130pm. Arrived early at 1228pm. I was told I had to wait because I was too early which I understood. The person who took my picture told me that if after 15 to 20 minutes I wasnt called to go speak to someone in customer service. Well...I waited and waited...the place is pack. So I kept on waiting. After being tired of waiting I went to customer service to see what for I made a reservation if I had been waiting for hours now. The very rude agent at customer service ask me why I waited so long to speak to someone that it was to late for me to check in. Imagine my surprise when she told me I wasnt even checked in. I explained to her that after my picture was taken I was given a number and I wasnt told that I had to check in somewhere else at least 30 minutes after my reservation time. She told me that my reservation doesnt even show up because it had been an hour, therefore she couldn't help me and I had to wait for my number to be called. I wasnt expecting her to help me right away but to give me a flat NO AND MADE IT SOUND LIKE THIS WAS MY FAULT WAS THE THING THAT GOT ME FURIOUS. She even questioned why I waited so long to talk to someone ( I guess that having pacience is a bad thing now a days) I explained to her twice that I had a number and that number showed since what time I have been here, which was 1228pm...but she apparently couldn't do anything for me. My number ends in 89 right now there are at 69.....239pm....hopefully by 4 I will be out of here...worst customer service ever, not helpful or knowledgeable employees. Would not recommend this DMV to no one. I gave it a 1 star because I didnt have any other option....so I ended up leaving because I have to work and cant keep on wasting my time here...this place is...
