Tristate Firewood — Attraction in City of Yonkers

We live behind a house with an old shed. Our view was ruined by broken windows and old peeling paint. Out of curiosity, we reached out to Tristate Firewood and asked about a wood wall, thinking they would just come and stack something and maybe it would help. We were absolutely blown away. They came with nice thick logs, super high quality. They stacked it in an intricate and custom design. It's super modern and sleek while maintaining a rustic feel. Ilya was very responsive to my inquiries and was able to deliver within 24 hours which was really helpful! The wood delivered was okay. Not bad, not great. My fire pit can only accommodate pieces up to 16" and I asked that he bring me pieces that can fit. I can say they will all fit, but the majority of the wood was only 9-12". When stacked, it came up shy of the face cord I ordered due only to the extra short pieces. I would not consider the wood seasoned. Other suppliers in the area do deliver seasoned wood but for quite a bit more money. Overall, I am happy with the experience and felt I received a good value...

STAY AWAY!! As others have noted, they will short you wood by a significant amount. They came quickly and stacked the wood very neatly but after they left and I paid them, i measured the pile and it was short but then I noticed it was all stacked cross-hatched and a cord is supposed to be tightly stacked, all in parallel and doing it the way they did reduces the amount significantly so we were missing probably 35-40% of the true amount.

When we asked them about it, they got indignant and said we were shameless for asking for a rebate or more wood! They know exactly what they are...
