Grant Street Grill — Restaurant in Clarkesville

My husband and I drive across town just to eat here. We don’t bowl, we don’t play pool. We just love the food and employees. I hate to see some customers having problems with service. I think it’s because of the “new normal” of dealing with lack of employees. But, we have never once had an issue with service. We went last week and everything was wonderful. We walk up, place our order, and soon it is delivered to our table. If we need refills, we walk up to the bar. There is always staff there working like crazy managing the lanes and the food. Service? WHAT service? There is none. The online menu looked pretty good, so we thought we'd give it a try. Walked in, and there's some sullen teenager with a towel in his hand and his face buried in his cellphone. Asked if it was seat yourself or wait to be seated. Says he doesn't know, ask some lady and vaguely points to the back. Three of the booths had people in them, two others looked to be taken over for silverware prep. Good luck with service!! the old man behind the bar will clearly ignore you but serve regulars he has right in front of you as they come up. These guys clearly don’t work for tips.
