I wish I got the name of the tech that I saw because I should’ve gotten up as soon as I sat down.
Update at the end ✨
Her chair is the second one in from the pedicure stations on the left hand side. From start to finish, she just had a poor attitude. I don’t get my nails done often so I’ll admit I’m not knowledgeable but I do expect an experience with a positive attitude. She almost combatted me on everything I said. I wanted to keep some of my nail length but she said I had to cut them to match a broken nail even though I said I don’t really want them that low. She combatted me so I just had her cut them to end the conversation about it. Then when asked about shape she argued me on that. I don’t know the names but said I wanted an oval but not quite so pointy. Her response was so condescending and the shape still ended up being wrong and more squared than I’d like. She showed me the first 2 nails when shaping and those were fine but it felt like she just kept going different with each nail. After that I just tried to keep my mouth shut because she was gonna do whatever she wanted & I should’ve just left. She got mad at me when I said the color was fine but she had asked me after painting all of one hand already. She must’ve been annoyed that I stopped talking because she kept asking if I was tired or something. 25 minutes have gone by & now that I’m a little away from the experience I can see bubbling in my nails and my pinky looks like a glob was cured. Not sure if you can tell in the pics but I did attach them for reference.
Now the lady who checked me in/out was the opposite. So helpful. Could probably tell that I don’t get my nails done often & took the time to explain the difference in a couple different services, benefits on the nail, and price point. She checked me out and asked how it was and I couldn’t lie so I told her the tech had a bad attitude. She then brought the tech up and they chatted. After that the nice lady said my tech apologized but the apology didn’t actually come from my tech. I’m newer to getting my nails done but I’m not new to customer service. I’ll likely come back because the other reviews are good, the environment was nice and the lady who checked me in was nice but I won’t see that tech again. Maybe I just caught her on a bad day or something.
Update: the day I got the review, Kathy from the business wanted to make it right. She called & left a super apologetic voicemail then also followed up with a text. I went in 2 days later & Kathy not only fixed & reshaped my nails but also apologized. Her & Kat took the time to explain and make things right. After experiencing a much better experience & hearing more about the business & how they truly care about their customers, I’ll certainly be back 🥰 not to mention the patience that it took to find the matching color. Who knew there would be so many...
Read moreI wanted to love this place, I really did. Nope. I should’ve known what kind of establishment this is based on the responses (void of accountability, defensive, insulting, etc.) the owner gives to reviews that are critical.
Based on another review that praised Jay’s gentle removal skills, I booked a soak off and shellac mani with Jay. I wanted Jay specifically. I didn’t want someone else to do the soak off or mani; if I’d wanted someone else for those services, I would’ve booked with someone else. Moreover, Jay doesn’t do pedis so I booked a pedi with Hannah. If Jay did pedis, then I would’ve booked both with him.
Before I was finished soaking off, Jay ran my pedi water and I didn’t see him again. He didn't say why he was passing me off and no one else explained either. Hannah did my pedi, finished my soak off and did my mani — remember now, the latter two services were SCHEDULED (I had an appointment.) with Jay. I didn’t complain or even address how unprofessional this was. I also didn’t address the fact that my pedi with Hannah was supposed to be first, but when I arrived for my appointment she was just starting on someone else, so my soak off with Jay ended up being first.
Before I finished, a female whose English is a little more audible than the other employees said, “From now on you just book with one person. It’s too hard when you book with two people.” HUNH?! How is it “too hard” when Jay doesn’t do pedis? I know for a fact I’m not the only client who has ever gotten a pedi along with a service Jay does.
I also didn’t appreciate that when I asked about a mani, I was only given one option — the $65 Signature Manicure. It’s not the only one the salon offers (I didn't know it wasn't the only one while I was there.), but it’s the only one I was offered. I was also asked repeatedly to get shellac on my feet even though I made it clear regular polish lasts for three weeks or more, especially with the OPI top coat I brought from home.
Between Jay walking out without any communication, the female employee trying to make it seem that wanting Jay who specializes or is better in something to perform one service and someone else to perform another because Jay doesn’t, unscrupulously being offered one mani when it’s not the only one the salon offers, pushy attempts to upsell me shellac and outcomes that are mid at best, I won’t be back. I paid without question and tipped $10. The way salon ownership/management gets defensive and takes zero accountability in their responses to reviews lets me know it would’ve been a waste of time to voice my concerns. No one asked if I was happy with my experience or work performed and I didn’t have a welcoming experience that made me want to share.
I'm giving two stars because it wasn't the worst service and work I've ever experienced. However, it was still unacceptable in more...
Read moreMost recent edit: I saw your reply and am very confused. I have never written and another negative review besides this. You guys are mad about the Facebook review because you can’t hide that. I only told the truth the only reason I reposted this was one because you guys blocked/ hid it from your page (I can tell on my side by the view count not going up). It doesn’t effect your rating at all because it was already posted, it’s just to help inform the people about this business. I also don’t stalk your page or care enough to truly or post fake negative reviews. Maybe if you guys were an honorable business you wouldn’t need to beg for reviews nor hide the negative ones.
Edit: since they wanted to say it’s a few minutes late I’m posting the photos here of my appointment time and the time they called me to come back.
I will start by saying Kat was the reason I waited so long to write this review. She was so sweet and amazing/ did an amazing job on my design.
BUT I feel they are extremely unorganized. I made an appointment 2 days before and I was stuck waiting at that salon waiting 50 MINUTES before I walked out. No one communicated to tell me what was going on or how much longer, nothing! I have never waited longer than 10 minutes for an appointment. Someone said they were going to start my nails/ do my tips but they never came back. They called me to come back after I left but they closed in 10 minutes so I felt a little uncomfortable coming back.
There are no prices listed ANYWHERE!! Not online not on the wall nothing. It was $80!! Usually my sets are about $65 anywhere else.
Kat did a great job shaping my nails and was very apologetic, she’s the reason I actually wasn’t going to write a review in the first place.
What set me off is that It’s been a week and half and I’ve lost 8 of my nails. I got dip with tips and gel. I have gotten my nails done at many places and have been going for years and never experienced this before. Most of my sets usually last up to 3 weeks!! I’m just so disappointed in the quality and cannot believe I paid $80 to not even have my nails on for 2 weeks. I don’t recommend this place and am sad I wasted my money...
