A BEST in town parks. Hulen Park has a baseball field and basketball court. Swans and ducks and geese on Buffalo Creek are fun to watch. The playground is great for littles with swings and equipment that can increase kids' agility and muscle building. Pets on leashes are welcome. The concrete sdewalks are kept in good shape, are lighted, and taking a walk around the park is always fun. Lots of shade trees help to keep your skin from frying under a summer sun. Group areas are kept clean and offer lots of tables that just beg for a family picnic or get together. These group areas are completely covered. There are enough trash receptacles that are kept in good order, and bathrooms are close by. The Splash Station swimming pool is next door and has ample parking for cars. Once inside the fence you'll find several grassy and some shaded areas with tables. There is a snack bar and a store. One of the swimming pools is set up for diving and marked lane swimming, while the other pool is best suited for play. Part of the play pool area is set up for toddlers and youngsters who have yet to start swimming; part of it is a bit deeper and offers 2 twisting slides and a small roundabout. Both swimming pools are big enough to keep swimmers from feeling cramped for space. For me, the last few minutes after enjoying a great day at the park can easily be spent with a rainbow snowcone in hand from the cute little stand just across the...
Read moreHulen Park in Cleburne is an absolute gem! I highly recommend it for its fantastic historical markings and community focus.
You can reserve picnic tables with working electrical plugs under awnings, perfect for parties or any event.
The park also features a beautiful gazebo near the splash pad, offering a wonderful backdrop for wedding photos. For recreation, there's a long walking trail, basketball courts, a baseball field, a tennis court, and a playground. The park is rich with community spirit and historical markers.
A fantastic bonus is the extended walking trail: cross the bridge by the playgrounds to access a path that leads all the way to the courthouse, and if you follow that trail along Buffalo Creek, you'll end up near First Financial Bank off of North...
Read moreLoved everything about this place except for the negative impact it has on the parks plant and animal life. The majority of these trees pay a very high price for the beautiful lights that we enjoy during the holidays and Christmas time and that price is the majority of the trees are damaged severely or in some cases killed by these electrical cords and boxes being drilled into their trunks and roots. My daughter being very sensitive to nature was visually upset and even though she's only 17 months old she walked right up to the boxes tapped on them and said ouch that's what you're my attention to the fact that they were even there. I wish we could find some other way of accommodating everyone's desire for...
