Went there for lunch today, had never been, went in and got seated immediately, but the whole restaurant was so hot we were sweating, the waitress we had was a young girl super nice and helpful, but the food and service(Not the waitress, who was new) was absolutely horrible. My entire group ordered pad thai, I had chicken pad thai add tofu, the other two in the party had shrimp pad thai add tofu, and pork pad thai. We waited 40 minutes for our food, and when it finally came out, it was cold, the tofu looked like sliced bread and had the consistency of sliced bread too, and when I touched it with my fork A LOT of liquid came out, yes I know tofu is in water when you get it, but this was just too much water for it to have been cooked, and it was just a watery gooey blob. The shrimp pad thai was supposed to be spicy and wasn't, had the same issue with the tofu, and the shrimp was pre-cooked shrimp with the shell on that was just re-cooked and was rubbery. The pork was so pale it looked like chicken. The overall taste was salty and gross! We quietly Went to the waitress so that it wouldn't cause a scene to the other restaurant goers and she told us that she would get the manager. The manager comes out of the kitchen and comes to the table and starts yelling at us asking us "what's wrong with the food" she said "oh it's cold we can take it back to the kitchen and REHEAT it for you" We said "um no, thank you. You are NOT supposed to take food BACK to the kitchen and REHEAT IT" LIKE YUCK!!. Then she kept asking us questions like "have you ever eaten pad thai before?" And yes, we eat pad thai quite often, We've just never been here before, so she was. Like, "well, maybe pad Thai isn't for everybody Or Thai food isn't for everybody. Maybe it just isn't to your liking." We said no that something was just wrong with it. She then proceeded to tell us "well how about you don't pay for it, leave here, and NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN". We told her "yeah we think that is the best option" A:the food is terrible, and B: the management skills seem to lacking! We are not sure if her yelling was to embarrass us or not, but she only embarrassed herself and the establishment. We DID pay for the one fountain drink someone got, but we left the food and everything behind. I DO NOT recommend this place AT ALL. Yes we did not have to pay, but I think people need to be aware that if you say it's cold and they say they will take care of it, they just go back there and REHEAT it, and that if there are other issues, and you make a complaint, you will probably not be...
Read moreWe were first time patrons. Mother-in-law came by day before Thanksgiving. We decided to find a new restaurant we'd never tried. Online (of course) we found this Thia diner. When we arrived it was 45 minutes minutes before they were to close. When we arrived we were greeted at the door (later wed find out by the owner) with a smile and a fantastic greeting. The waitress was beyond awesome. They took the time to tell us about the menu, the region on the food in Thailand, and NEVER rushed us. The menu was extensive so, we had a lot of questions. The food was outstanding. They had a soup that arrived a few moments after we finished with the outstanding appetizers. It looked like water that had a onion in it. We all kind of looked at one another figured if we are in it for something different we needed to taste the "soup". I will being with saying this. Do not beleave your eyes. We tasted it and it was amazing. She told us it was and believe me she was right about the menu. We all ordered different items and shared because, it was fantastic. They even let us pick from spiced hot or mild. The real shocker was they expanded to us about the dessert menu and told us about a fried banana lightly glazed with honey,s touch of 10x sugar and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. OMG it was great. They never once rushed us. They treated us like family. They resterant is a small tucked back building if not for the sign I would I have driven past. It is a unpolished on the outside diamond. We will be making it a regular on the days we want awesome food for a really really reasonable price. Go and have a experience you will remember. You will leave full and have plenty to eat for another meal. They are not stingy with the helpings. Have a great time and I hope you have as wonderful a...
Read moreI've eaten here about 6 times over the past 2 years. It's half-added at best and variable. I have had some dishes that were O.K. but generally it's not worth going to. The green curry medium hot was o.k. as was a great other dishes but NOTHING to seek out as far as TASTY. I just had the lunch Basil thai with chicken, medium. It had ZERO spicyness. I could only see about two flakes of red pepper and zero basil. Yes, none! How can you call something BASIL and have NO BASIL in it? I had the owner take it back and 'redo' it. The cook, either he or his 'Thai' wife added red pepper, but no additional Basil. It was no better. I've ate Thai food in Thailand and all over the U. S and some places in europe. The food here is a poor excuse for Thai food, as a general rule. And I second the comment on the 'BROTH' for soup, and the 'Miniature' spring rolls. Not...
